"Of course. I am sure you will do fine." Mizuki does fairly well. "The Lion are particularly fond of Go. It has become more popular in the Scorpion lands since our close alliance."

Mizuki plays fairly aggressively, but with little tricks. "I'm honestly surprised it wasn't popular before. A player's playstyle can tell you a lot about them."

[Shinjo Akil]

He played as best he could, which mostly meant the game never quite devolved into him trying to make a horse with the go stones.. "You can, can you?" He canted his head. "Like what?"

[Matsu Nintoku]

"I crushed the no-name Mantis because she had the audacity to step in front of me." he snarled, closing his hand into a fist "She thought she could win but I quickly dispelled that foolish notion from her head."

"Whenever you want to be defeated little foal."

He held his gaze to hers defiantly.

"Such as if a person prefers to play aggressively, defensively, with tricks. These are more easily to translate what kind of tacticians generals make, but we've noticed that there is some connection to play and personality. It's not perfect of course. And there are some people who defy expectations. But the general principle often works."

Mizuki is silent as if thinking where to put her next piece. But that's not what she was considering. "Your Clan has been gone for a very long time. But you will need to learn that the Court is a dangerous place. Often more dangerous than the battlefield. Even something like how you play Go will be scrutinized and have consequences." She places her piece and shrugs. "I'm happy being a merchant. It's much more... direct."

[Moto Khulun]

"Does the little foal wish to delay her breaking?" he remarked in a sneering tone before taking another sip of kumis "Why delay the unavoidable."

[Shiba Kaizen]

Yukarin seems to be a bit late.

She frowns as she looks around.

Kaizen seeing that the games were less interesting than the conversation at the moment he walked over to Iuchi Yukarin and offered a bow, "Konban-wa Iuchi-san, I am Shiba Kaizen you seem to be looking for someone or something perhaps I can be of assistance as I am familiar with this part of the village?"

[Moto Khulun]

"Does the little foal wish to delay her breaking?" he remarked in a sneering tone before taking another sip of kumis "Why delay the unavoidable."

Khulun chuckles and removes her hat, “So hungry to be crushed?”

She cracks her neck loudly and says, “Say the word.”

[Usagi Tomoe]

Someone might have jumped to a conclusion when rabbits and increased ranks were mentioned in the same sentence. However, Dong-Ha was far more practical and far less creative to jump into any clever conclusions. "As we are curious to learn about the lands and ways of our ancestors. We might bear the same names as the clan once leaving the Empire, but the Unicorn today and the Ki-Rin of the past are not the same." He answered her laughter with a shy smile.

"That would be very kind, though Usagi-san would need to teach me the rules before we can play." Dong-Ha replied eagerly. "Do you think we can find a game of go here, or did you perhaps bring your own?"

"Lucky for me, I did bring my own board, even if I'm not a skilled player. But I know the rules enough to teach," she offered kindly and found them an available place to sit.

It wasn't a very large board, but it would have to do. And first things first, some geography; and she set up the stones with interchanging patters of black and white to illustrate the lines of clan territories.

"Here is the Unicorn," she traced the outline of the area she had set up, "and north of you, there is the Badger Clan, and here the Dragon Clan. And going south here, we have the Lion... the Seikutsu mountains should be around here," her finger gestured across the line where the mountains would be on a map. "And south of the mountains here are the Scorpion lands, and this little area here is where the Hare lands are... right next to the very big Shinomen Mori."

She continued to point out the lands of the other clans, and somewhere off the 'makeshift map' was the islands of the Mantis.

"I've only been in the lands of the Fox, Hare and Phoenix for any real amount of time, and I guess I can say Unicorn too now after coming here."

[Matsu Nintoku]

He empties another skin of kumis, discarding the empty case to the side.

"You're going down little foal."

[Moto Khulun]

She folds her arms and says, "Words... not action."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

Kaizen seeing that the games were less interesting than the conversation at the moment he walked over to Iuchi Yukarin and offered a bow, "Konban-wa Iuchi-san, I am Shiba Kaizen you seem to be looking for someone or something perhaps I can be of assistance as I am familiar with this part of the village?"

Yukarin snapped out of her people watching reverie and turned to Kaizen, bowing low, "Greetings Shiba-sama. This one is Iuchi Yukarin."

She straightens up and looks around, her vrip on her shoulder bag tightening, "I... received a letter from one Soshi Bantu requesting my presence and assistance in a matter here... but perhaps I am in the wrong place?"

[Yasuki Tomonaga]

The gradually escalating tensions between Moto and Matsu slowly drew Tomonaga's attention away from his passive enjoyment of music and game watching. He'd missed the wrestling the day before, after all. He glances towards the 'couple', and then looked around, eyebrows raised, trying to see if anyone else was concerned, or if this was normal for the time, place, and amount of alcohol.

[Shiba Kaizen]

Kaizen thought this may be a very short conversation if Yukarin was here for the Scorpion. "Shiba-san is quite appropriate. Soshi-san is here." Kaizen cast his gaze towards where he had last seen Bantu and noted the tension between the Houses of M. He spotted the Scorpion where he had been. To Yukarin he said, "He is over there, would you care for some company?" He did not know what was going on between Matsu and Moto, he also did not want to insult the Iuchi and imply she may want an escort through hostilish territory.

[Soshi Bantu]

He gestures to the cushions on the floor at the table. "If minna-san wish to sit I'd happily guide you through a game?"

Udo bows to him and takes a seat. "Thank you very much. This should be most enjoyable. A small game seems appropriate, given how many guests you have this evening."

Looking at Bataar he adds. "I look forward to playing with you. This one is Togashi Udo."

"I'm Moto Baatar," the young Unicorn replied. "Um... do you want the white stones or the black stones? And... how do we set them up on the board?"

Bantu finished explaining the rules and helping the pair begin the game before wishing them am enjoyable game and looking around.

Yucatan had arrived, which was good, but noonehad engaged Fukawa in the game of sadane she was looking for. Well you can't win them all he thought to himself as he approached the Crane.
