Scorpion Get Together (D2 LM) [Mizuki's Room, Private]

[Soshi Taira]

Taira shuddered.

A little pale, he said, simply, "If there are no others who need treatment, I should get back to my work. I have some other salves to mix."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi's glare was more than enough to tell of his outrage at Yuichi. He stood there imagining just about everything he could do or would have someone else do to him. In the end none of the ideas he thought of would be clean. He fixed his attention back the meeting.

"Any other suggestions?" he simply asked hoping to carry the meeting on.

"Two hundred pounds of rocks and a swim in the River of Gold?" Bantu mumbled with a raised eyebrow, only half serious in his intended joke.

Suteichi gave a modest smirk at Bantu.

"I think that perhaps we should pick up later in the week, lest there was more you had to add Yogo-sempai?"

[Yogo Mizuki]

Mizuki shakes her head. "Ie. I think we got everything important covered. I will not hold anyone, though everyone who desires is welcomed to stay."

She says to the Soshi, "May the Fortunes guide you."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi looked to Soshi Bantu.

"Soshi-san. Might I have just a brief moment of your time?"

[Soshi Bantu]

Bantu shrugged, he had no other urgent demands on his time so acquiesced to Suteichi's request.

Stepping over to an unoccupied corner of the room, he leaned against the solid wall as he started packing his pipe for a good smoke after the meeting was done.

"How may I be of assistance Bayushi-san?" Now that the formal meeting was over and they were back into a less confusing individual conversation, Bantu returned to a more common form of address.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Soshi-sama, pardon. I will not take up too much of your time I had hoped that I could inquire of you as a yojimbo...should a matter would arise. Not that I am expecting anything. I like to be prepared."

[Soshi Bantu]

Bantu contemplated the request for only a few moments before he nodded.

"It seems that I'm the only option available Bayushi-san." Bantu replied as he seemed deep in thought, trying to recall the individuals he'd seen who might pose a threat to his skills.

"I will preface my acceptance with the advice that I was only a middling student in that class, but did enough to prove worthy of passing. What skills I do have however are available to any loyal servant of the Clan." Bantu's words are carefully chosen to reflect that even a personal dislike of an individual would not cause him to abandon his duty.

[Bayushi Hotaru]

Hotaru sighed internally. It seemed they were getting divided once more when they were close to working together again. It was perhaps for the best to let others get on with their day, as there are personal challenges to tackle later in the day. She nodded to Soshi Taira and likewise offered her services before she would excuse herself.

"Before we adjourn our meeting, I would like to present my services to aid my kin in any way that I'm able. I am a holy woman and I too can give spiritual advice if you so need it. If you need a conduit for deciphering the Fortunes and the Heavens, reading what lies in your destiny, please don't hesitate to seek me out! I'm pleased to put my skills to use. If it can aid my kin, all the better! It was a pleasure meeting everyone today and may the Fortune bless your path, minasama." She rose up and bowed deeply to all of the Scorpions here.

With that, she began to make her leave.

[Soshi Bantu]

Bantu overheard Hotaru's announcement of offer and filed it away in the back of his mind. One of his sensei had thought that Bantu's quick mind might be able to master the art of divination and had given him some kawaru coins to practice with, but he had never found the opportunity.

Perhaps a little tutelage in how to interpret them might prove beneficial later.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

I'll meet with you in due time Bayushi-san...

"We all have a starting point Soshi-sama. We all become far greater than we begun. I thank you. I will look forward to your dancing in the coming days."

[Soshi Bantu]

"Given time and opportunity, and this miai offers nothing if not a grand opportunity for us all." Bantu agreed with a thoughtful and appreciative nod at Suteichi's faith in him.

"Hopefully I shan't be the only one, I may have to drag a spectating Unicorn maiden or two onto the floor if that's the case, for some impromptu lessons." He adds with a grin.

[Soshi Bantu]

Mizuki shakes her head. "Ie. I think we got everything important covered. I will not hold anyone, though everyone who desires is welcomed to stay."

As the conversation with the Bayushi wound down, Bantu turned to their host.

"Yogo-sama, I was just wondering if I might impose upon you to borrow one of your room decorations for tomorrow evening, to permit a sadane game if any of my guests prove in the mood? Perhaps that wall hanging?" He asked as he pointed to a rather plain looking tapestry of a battle scene.

[Yogo Mizuki]

Mizuki nods. "That would fine."
