Yuzuki brought a hand up to her nose to scratch it while she half-listened. And was suddenly expected to explain something.

"Huh? Oh. Well, a duel is usually just to the first blood. And it's all formal, with rules. So you bow, and you give people time to think and then try to strike. A real fight doesn't have rules, does it? I mean, a real fight is more unpredictable? Duels are just... too... duelly."

Which wasn't a word.

"I'm not really that good at 'em. You want to talk to a Kakita, probably. They're all about duels."

“So you have a Kakita do all your duels?” she asks with a laugh.

“How many heads have you taken then? I am at 20 and a half.”

[Yuzuki]

"Uh... no. I just mean, they focus on duels. It's kind of their thing. Everyone knows that. And uh... I've only just passed my gempukku, and the Mantis are at peace."

“So the Crane have the strongest fighters?” she says with a wicked smirk.

“I thought they just liked painting and being pretty. So who would win in a fight you or a Kakita?”

[Shinjo Akil]

Akil listened still to the back and forth, trying to follow the Moto's logic.

[Yuzuki]

"No... that's... not what I said. They just really like the dueling art. Which like I said, is different from a regular fight. In a regular fight, I might win. If it's a duel, he might win because he gets the first strike, but then maybe I'm still standing and if it went on after that, I might defeat him. But unless it's a duel to the death, he'd still have won. Even if he's unconscious and I just have a small cut on me."

[Shinjo Akil]

"Hm. That is not so dissimilar to Shinjo's law." Akil interjected.

[Moto Khulun]

The Moto agreed with her kin and says to Akil, “I didn’t even ask cousin, you like this one?”

He blinked. He barely had a chance to form an opinion, truth be told. "She is..." How do I answer this without angering someone... "Nice?"

Fortunately, Yuzuki seemed to be distracted by one of the charms again; They were so odd; or else she might've found herself confused and embarrassed yet again by this odd Unicorn lady's conversational style.

“Yeah I like her, she has fire but not much in the way that would entice a man. Maybe if she put on some furs? Paint her face like some of them other maidens in the pictures,” she says to Akil.

"I hear that the other Clans don't like furs much, though, so I haven't been trying too hard to imagine them with furs on," he considered, "Also, I'm not sure it's polite to be talking about her like this when she's right here."

The Moto shrugs, “She came to be wed to the Unicorn, I am trying to help her get the best stallion she can… she has no-name which may hurt her chances and comes from the Mantis. I’m helping her. This is my Compassion!”

“She won’t get far finding a good match just being nice.”

"Huh?"

Something drew her back to the two unicorns. Were they talking about her?
