[D1 LA] Short Lesson Before Dinner

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smirked, "So you really aren't here for me then? I'm disappointed."

He chuckled, "But yeah... had a conversation with a pretty Iuchi woman just a bit ago and a... very interesting Moto this morning."

He smiled slightly, "I'll have to tell you later if the Moto is a decent match... he's interesting. I'm supposed to wrestle him tomorrow. It was the first thing he asked of me."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"As if I would be here for you," she huffed haughtily.

"Moto... it... wouldn't be the one with the beard who speaks about himself in third person? Because that one is as intelligent as a mushroom... no wait, that would be an insult to delicious mushrooms."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "Not in for the beefy man's man-type then I see. It is indeed one and the same."

He leaned back on the tree and asked, "So what qualities are you looking for then? I can keep my eyes pealed for a better match if you are so insistent that we shouldn't be together."

He smirked again.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Don't be silly, Yuu-kun, we're both here to arrange marriage to the Unicorn. I hardly think our superiors would approve of others options." She chuckled and began to fan herself again.

"Someone who is at least intelligent! I can't stand the thought of having a husband that's as dumb as... as... as that one."

[Soshi Yuuru]

"Alright. A smarty pants. I'm guessing you'd like them to be much like yourself then?" He said with a teasing smile.

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe chuckled. "I don't mind them being different, as I expect many of them to be, but someone so unbearably stupid would just make me want to throw myself into the river. The Hare could always use capable and clever warriors."

"And what about you? Looking for a dainty little thing or someone to join you on your neckbreaking adventures?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "I don't know... Never really thought about it until I got the order to come up here. I'm a pretty easy-going guy... I'd like to keep working in the forest I know so well. So somebody who doesn't mind an adventurer... and doesn't expect me to stay in the house all day and take care of the yurt."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Hmm... well, I've met at least two Unicorn women. One a Moto and the other an Iuchi... a priestess even. She was rather handy in wrestling away a lamb that was trying to eat Bayushi Hotaru-san," she laughed a little.

"The Moto on the other hand... well, she is smarter than her dumb cousin but absolutely uncouth. Woman looked like she was going to chop down a monk over some imagined slight... luckily one of your cousins, Soshi Bantu, stepped in to the nun's defense and they were able to calm down the situation."

[Soshi Yuuru]

"Sounds like a charming woman..." He chuckled.

"What was the priestess's name?" He asked. "She must be very brave to combat a terrible creature like a sheep."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Iuchi Sa... " she frowned a little at the foreign name, " Sakusaha? Pretty sure I butchered her name just now. They have such strange names, these Unicorn."

"Still, she was rather nice. So far I'd recommend her over the Moto but those are the only Unicorn women I've met."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "I'll keep my eyes peeled for her then."

He looked out over the plains, "So I wonder what interesting stuff there'll be to do... I'm sure you'll be fine talking to all the people any chance you get. I wonder what types of excitement can be had out here other than that."

[Matsu Kogo]

"That's not unlike the Moto. They can be very single minded and committed when they get an idea in their head," he replies with a smirk. "Especially when it comes to a fight. Their love of battle can be... daunting. But their respect for a proven warrior is just as strong. That's how they came to join the Unicorn, when their ancestors fought against Lady Shinjo and her prowess proved more than a match. Neither side had ever come across such formidable opponents, their tribe offered to follow her, and she accepted granting them the Moto name."

He continued leading the Matsu around a bit more, watching and correcting posture as necessary. Meushi, for her part, seemed to be quite comfortable with the Lion atop her.

"Kogo smiles. "That sounds like some of my kin. Some of my clan-sibs can be so stubborn. I swear that's how they wear down their enemies, with sheer persistence. " Kogo listens intently to the story of how the Moto joined the Unicorn. "Ahhh. I was curious how the Moto came to join your clan. I am glad that it was from such a story as this. Two sides, locked in combat, seeing the value in each other. That is a true warrior's diplomacy."

[Usagi Tomoe]

He nodded, "I'll keep my eyes peeled for her then."

He looked out over the plains, "So I wonder what interesting stuff there'll be to do... I'm sure you'll be fine talking to all the people any chance you get. I wonder what types of excitement can be had out here other than that."

"Hmmm... Probably not many opportunities for hunting, unless it's very small game. No doubt our hosts will provide martial challenges that will be suitable for you, though an obstacle course or something could be fun. Then there's new food to try too I wager."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "You looking forward to that cuisine?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Maybe?" She grinned. "Never tried it... can't be worse than natto, neh? Or the things you've eaten in the Shinomen."
