Counting Sheep (D6, EE)

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I wouldn't know about whales, but you could hug an elephant." he suggested. "They aren't very fuzzy, though."

[Tonbo Misa]

Her face looked a bit puzzled. "An... ano, what was it? I've never heard of any sort of animal like that. Is it from the deserts?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Jungles south of the desert. I'm not familiar with them myself." he explained. "But, I did see an elephant once. It was enormous. A body like a giant boulder on legs as thick as tree trunks. A large head with large billowing ears and great ivory tusks. It's nose was long and shaped like a snake. It could use it to pick up grass to eat or to drink water through."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa gave a little shiver. "Even if it eats grass, it sounds a bit intimidating. As a woman that can't run very fast, I would not like to run into that large of an animal... unless they're friendly... or fuzzy."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"For something so large, it seemed fairly gentle." he explained. "It wasn't very fuzzy, though."

As he talked, he walked over and led two sheep back.

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa's hands remained folded in front of her. She trusted she would be told if more petting was to be done. "Not fuzzy, hm? Ano... what WAS it like then Shinjo-san? Scaley? Bumpy? Smooth? Slimey?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

It's hide was thick, but warm. There were bits of hair I think." he answered. "Nothing like these two."

He positioned another sheep before her, then picked up the lamb that had followed.

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa couldn't help but hear the higher pitched bleating, reaching out for the lamb and giving it a pet. She grinned once more at the kicking little thing. "I see. Just as I see I have a young new guest! I hope this one's mother isn't eyeing you up Shinjo-san."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"She's fine. I brought her over as well." he explained. "I wouldn't separate them. But, I thought you'd appreciate meeting the little one."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa stuck with petting rather than giving out a hug this time, so as not to appear hostile in any sort of way. She didn't lose her exuberance all the same. "I truly do Shinjo-san, arigato. He's a bit more feisty though. Are you all right holding him like that?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Hai, Tonbo-sama. It's fine." he assured her. 'He's beginning to calm down."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa leaned in to give the lamb a tentative hug, enjoying it with barely restrained dignity. Finally letting go again, her broad smile showed her true feelings. "Arigato Shinjo-san. Though, I shouldn't keep bothering the sheep. I'm certain they would tire of my affections!"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"In time, but I don't think this bothered them." He set the lamb down. "They likely know you mean no harm.. I think they even enjoyed the attention."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa smiled warmly at the thought. "If that is true, then I'm honored to have given them such affections sought after. I hope I did not embarrass myself too highly in front of Shinjo-san with my exuberance."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Not at all, Tonbo-sama." he assured her. "It's nice to see someone enjoying themselves. I am pleased I could provide that experience."
