Hunting the Unknown (Day 5, EM)

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo hops down but notices she is not quite used to this kind of terrain. The rain has also washed away any signs to her that there are marks. Hunting roll, no void, no raises: 5d10o10k3 9

She waits after she finishes her circuit, not wishing to look like a fool in front of this Unicorn.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I don't see much." he sighed. "But, it's a wide area. I don't think I asked. What do you prefer to hunt?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She shrugs. "I am flexible. It is good for Noburu to have variety in the pray she hunts for her training. We try to vary things to help teach her different tactics. "

[Shinjo Kemuri]

He looked at the lion. "Is there a treat Noboru-san likes?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She ponders. "She is a fairly unpicky creature. Pretty much anything wild caught will do. " she smiles at him. "Thank you for the consideration of her. Few would think to ask her preferences. "

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"She's beautiful, and should be spoiled from time to time." he smiled. "Are there any treats you particularly like, Matsu-sama?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She startles for a moment. "Ano....I enjoy some plum wine from time to time. It is sweet, so it is a treat for me." She looks at him, realizing that she has possibly caught someone's eye. "What about you Shinjo-san? What do you enjoy?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Venison. That's why I like hunting deer." he answered. "And, mead. But, I'm not likely to find any of that."

[Matsu Kogo]

She looks at him with a puzzled look. "What is mead?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Honey wine." he answered. "I've only had it a few times, but I really liked it. There was just a little sweetness to it."

[Matsu Kogo]

She nods. "That sounds like something I might like. Where is it made?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Other lands." he shrugged. "I'm not sure where it originated. It seemed like it was common to a few cultures."

[Matsu Kogo]

She nods. "It sounds excellent. Is this something your clan plans to introduce? It sounds like it could be enjoyed here."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I don't know if any of my clansmen know how to brew it." he shrugged. "Maybe, in time."

He looked around them. "I'm sorry, Matsu-sama. It looks like whatever happened last night scared all the prey in the area. We can ride further, but I don't think we'll find anything today."

[Matsu Kogo]

She nods. "At least it is a lovely day. Perhaps we could enjoy a walk? Or a ride if you prefer. Either would suit me. It seems like a day to start afresh." Her brow furrows. And blow old thoughts out of my head. She turns and smiles.
