When the Girl is over, me going to bed before her inevitably means her on the couch, though only because my snoring is apparently evil.

My partner is very considerate when it comes to this. She gets how important it is to me and is basically cool with letting me write while just doing her own thing.

It is so nice compared to previous relationships.

Wife has insomnia so I do get her, but I wish she decided if me being in the bed was a problem or not.

Hubby snores, so when I need to get up early for my morning-shifts, he has to sleep in the guest room... otherwise I just won't be able to fall asleep (not that I have a good track record of falling asleep when he's not there either, but I get better rest when I don't have to battle with his snoring).

Otherwise, I always go to bed after him because that means the snoring has mostly subsided after a couple of hours. I am also a nocturnal person, so it's fine.

Though when he tells me to go to bed because I have to get up early, I go full "I'M AN ADULT, I CAN DO WHAT I WANT!!!".
