The whole thing had kind of a philosophical underlayer to it. It's not personal; Orokos too is merely a pawn of fate and tricksy luck. Anyone can fall into its deadly clutches. It can't be reasoned with because it doesn't recognize our personhood. And it can only take life, not create it.
