[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Gokiburi blew hair from his nose in response, or seemingly in response, he's a horse.

"Stern," she said, seeming to show in favor for the word. "A very stern Sensei. I would not want to draw his ire if I was his student," she said and immediately seemed to realize how childish this all felt. Drawing up a light chuckle as she shook her head.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Otaku horses are different?" This was new information and he turned to focus on his companion again, bright interest lighting his eyes. "Are they from a different breed of horse you found along the way, then, or is it something more?"

Yue nodded. "Hai. The Otaku steeds are," she paused, looking right at Hikazume, "of a prized breed. They are known to be strong and possess high endurance. A shiotome possesses a special bond with her horse." She smiled and looked to her sister. "It would not surprise me if Fei admitted to being envious of that connection."

[Asako Yuki]

The Phoenix grinned in response to her chuckle. "I think it is getting late, I should start getting ready for the dinner. Would not do to miss that after all the work the Ide put into getting this together."

"Of course," she said, getting Gokiburi ready and letting him know it'd be time to set off soon as he liked. "Gokiburi here needs some exercise before I get pulled away for that dinner as well."

[Asako Hirase]

Yue nodded. "Hai. The Otaku steeds are," she paused, looking right at Hikazume, "of a prized breed. They are known to be strong and possess high endurance. A shiotome possesses a special bond with her horse." She smiled and looked to her sister. "It would not surprise me if Fei admitted to being envious of that connection."

Following her glance, he eyed the two other women who seemed to be highly amused by something and the horse which seemed to be rather engaged with them too. He smiled a bit to see them all happy, then turned back, still curious.

"I know of Battle Maidens, at least by reputation, but I haven't heard of what the Otaku men do. Nor have I heard anything about any Otaku males of any note. Do they not stay in the Family if they are born male?"

[Asako Yuki]

"Of course," she said, getting Gokiburi ready and letting him know it'd be time to set off soon as he liked. "Gokiburi here needs some exercise before I get pulled away for that dinner as well."

"He has been most patient while we talked then." Yuki said with a smile. "I hope you have a good ride, Shinjo-san. It was a pleasure to meet you and Gokiburi-san."

"I know of Battle Maidens, at least by reputation, but I haven't heard of what the Otaku men do. Nor have I heard anything about any Otaku males of any note. Do they not stay in the Family if they are born male?"

"There Otaku men," she confirmed gently, "The Family is matriarchal." She took a few steps with Hikazume towards the other two women. However, she allowed Hirase to continue heading in that direction further in case he was not ready to rejoin them. "The men care for the famed steeds, Hirase-san. Some serve as infantry. They never ride the steeds in combat."

[Asako Hirase]

"Like the Lion's Pride in a way, then." Nodding, the Phoenix placidly fell in beside Liu Yue as she walked. "I'm a bit surprised that the Unicorn have a dedicated infantry unit. My understanding had been that you are all cavalry, even your priesthood. Is it a practice from a time when you had more permanent camps?"

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Like the Lion's Pride in a way, then." Nodding, the Phoenix placidly fell in beside Liu Yue as she walked. "I'm a bit surprised that the Unicorn have a dedicated infantry unit. My understanding had been that you are all cavalry, even your priesthood. Is it a practice from a time when you had more permanent camps?"

"It is not ordinary, Hirase-san. Our Clan is dedicated to cavalry. However, it is tradition for Otaku men to not ride the steeds in battle."

She then waved to Liu Fei and Yuki. "Hello again." She looked to her sister with a smirk. "Were you planning on taking off without me?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"He has been most patient while we talked then." Yuki said with a smile. "I hope you have a good ride, Shinjo-san. It was a pleasure to meet you and Gokiburi-san."

"Of course, Asako-san, it was a pleasure to meet you as well," she said and bowed her head briefly.

"I was," she admitted freely," but I knew you would catch up little sister."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki looked back to Hirase and smiled warmly at the man. "Did you learn anything good, Hirase-san?"

[Asako Hirase]

"Yes." The older Asako smiled back. "Though it is only a drop in a vast sea, I fear. Did you?"

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue gave a bow to both Asako and then mounted her horse. "Will I be teaching you as well?" She gave Fei a knowing look. You wouldn't take the time to teach Yuki, would ya?

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled some. "If you don't mind, Shinjo-san. I'm sure it would help."

[Asako Hirase]

"Besides, it would be proper." Hirase's expression was serious, but his eyes crinkled in amusement at the edges. "A small boy does not a proper chaperone make."
