[D1 LA] Short Lesson Before Dinner

He smiled for her at that comment. "Good. Nice to know all my work hasn't completely gone to waste."

He winked at her again.

She sighed, then laughed.

"You really are impossible sometimes. Heavens know I'll need to find a wife that can keep your head out of the clouds."

[Soshi Yuuru]

"I wish you all the luck that I don't have." He said with a smile.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Hey, we're in this pickle together," she retorted with a grin. No way did she want to return home in disgrace, and she didn't think Yuuru wanted to either.

"Not going to let you marry some brutish woman who won't look after you."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded and smiled, "Nor shall I allow you to get stuck with someone who'll take you from where you want to be."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I appriciate it," she said in a more serious, but still friendly, tone. In a way, it was good that Yuuru was here. Sure, he was quirky and weird in his own way, but he was also fun and a reliable friend - she trusted him to have her back, as she would have his.

"Just don't break anything when you're trying to impress these ladies."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled, "I won't... intentionally at least."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Another brief chuckle. "Good... I trust you won't do it on purpose." But knowing you, it could still happen.

"Let's see if we can find the time to practice the flute and shamisen together in the coming days. It's been a while since we last got to do that."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "Definitely."

He then smiled as it appeared their time to separate drew near, "Be safe out there Bunny."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"You too, Monkey," she shot back with a playful smile and bowed properly. "Carry the Fortunes."

[Soshi Yuuru]

Yuuru laughed warmly and nodded, "Carry the fortunes."

He smiled and waved his hand as he walked along a different path than his friend.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki's smile turned into a grin as the horse nuzzled at her. "His nose is so soft." She whispered, mostly to herself, as she moved a bit closer to pat the horse and scratch at his chin. She figured that if dogs liked it, horses probably would too.

""How long have you had him, then? Since gempukku? Or was he the horse you rode when you were training?"

Gokiburi remained still as she scratched his chin, seemingly unresponsive to the show of affection. "Gokiburi has been with me since my gempukku, yes. My first partner. We've grown pretty close after our long ride to return home."

"We... haven't heard much about the ride, only that it was a difficult journey. But samurai thrive in adversity, neh?" She smiled again. "A very solemn creature isn't he?" She said, glancing to the horse. Then paused. "Ah, that is to say, Gokibori is a he?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Liu Fei gave a solemn nod on the note of Samurai thriving in adversity, as a statement alone, but that didn't stop her from casting a quick glance over toward her Sister. Instinctively she was hoping that Yue hadn't heard but if she had and was alright, well... that would be far better.

"Yes Asako-san, a He, Gokiburi is a proud steed. Stubborn too and not just when it is a hindrance."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki patted the horse a few more times before stepping back. "What do you mean, Shinjo-san? There are times when it would not be a hindrance?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"There are times when Gokiburi knows best, and he knows it. Takes me a moment to realize but he can be stubborn enough to make his point when it counts."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki nodded, then paused with a smile. "Like an old sensei, then." She examined the horse for a moment and grinned as she started to laugh. "It would be funny to see him with a long white beard."
