[Day1: LM: Open] Fortune Telling Booth

[Togashi Udo]

Shows what you know...

"I guess? I'm here because of prophecy. I don't know why. Maybe something important will happen here. Maybe I will do something important. Maybe I'm supposed to bring someone back home to the Mantis."

"Here because of prophecy? Well, that's interesting. I look forward to seeing your fortunes unfold."

[Yuzuki]

"Me too," she said.

Be helpful if I knew what I was supposed to do, though.

[Togashi Udo]

Udo nods. Well, this conversation largely went nowhere.

"The wind blows me onward," he says with a bow. "Good luck with your prophecy, and let me know if you ever wish to discuss it."

[Yuzuki]

"Sure," she said as she wondered whether she could pick her nose now that she was an inch away from not having someone pay attention to her.

"Hey no," she said, "wait. What did *your* fortune mean? Maybe I can compare it to mine."

[Togashi Udo]

"A very good question. I don't know."

Udo is silent for a little too long and then laughs.

"I have guesses, though. It is twofold. I have often been criticized for not being... enthusiastic... about things. I tend to be a passive man. The part that said enthusiasm can achieve great things is nothing new, though normally it came from my sensei. Of course, that was coupled with a part about expressing it bringing misfortune." He thinks.

"Like when I expressed enthusiasm over the fortune, I moved in front of you. It brought misfortune, though in this case to you and not me. My apologies."

"The other part is perhaps more interesting. Enthusiasm... doubt not as I gather friends. I assume that's about the miai and all those I meet here, like you. I take it to mean I should trust others, and feel enthusiasm for those relationships but not express it."

He's quiet for a time. "I guess that's more a recitation of what the fortune said and not so much what it means. But, it felt more like a notation of what good can come rather than a prophecy of what will. Either way, my fortune definitely means I will be more open to relationships with my fellow samurai."

[Moshi Asakiko]

Chi-Pu hestitantly places her hand on the box of stick.

"Know that you are dealing with an Otaku, sorceress. Should any harm befall me because of your magics, my Clan will settle for nothing less than swift retribution."

With her threat, Chi-Pu smiles a beautiful smile and pulls out a stick, handing it to the woman

"Have I harm them, Otaku sama?" She shook her head. "I do not like to harm people sama, as lady Amaterasu loves an cares for us all I care for all." She took the stick and started her divination. "Duration (Hêng) No blame, perseverance furthers one to have somewhere to go. Asakiko studied the lines. "She who does not give duration to her character meets with disgrace. If you are persistent some humiliation will take place. No game in the field." She placed the stick tomthe box.

[Yuzuki]

"Hmmm, that sounds a little too literal to me. Although sometimes a fortune or prophecy *can* be pretty straightforward."

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu looks at the woman with a dumbfounded expression.

"Thank you, Moshi-san, for whatever that means."

She glances back to the Togashi amd Yuzuki.

"Is Amaterasu the source of your sorcery?"

[Togashi Udo]

"Hmmm, that sounds a little too literal to me. Although sometimes a fortune or prophecy *can* be pretty straightforward."

Udo nods. "It may have some deeper meaning, but without more to go on, a literal interpretation works for me. Especially when it encourages me to be welcoming at this auspicious event."

He looks at the Unicorn. "Was yours a good fortune?"

[Moshi Asakiko]

Chi-Pu looks at the woman with a dumbfounded expression.

"Thank you, Moshi-san, for whatever that means."

She glances back to the Togashi amd Yuzuki.

"Is Amaterasu the source of your sorcery?"

"The Moshi woman are devoted priestess of Lady Sun. She bless us with her power and thus we can better communicate with the fire kami during the time the sun is out." The Moshi explained.

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

"You speak like a priestess would, yet you perform in the streets like a sorceress. I am confused. Is not Amaterasu holy here? How can her power be used to this?"

Chi-Pu motions to the divination equipment.

Hearing the Dragon ask her a question, the woman turns slightly, still able to address both the Moshi and her previous conversation partner.

"I do not understand if it is good, Togashi-san. I do not understand it at all."

[Yuzuki]

"She's not asking any zeni for it," Yuzuki said, a hand on her hip as she looked off to some more commercially oriented stall down the road. "I'm not sure what the problem is?"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu frowns

"If she charged or not, it seems odd to me to just perform sorcery at will on any who walk up to you. And if she is a priestess, should she not be in a temple to do such things?"

Chi-Pu's face shows off a confused look.

"I am merely trying to understand the way of things here. Sorcery and the Otaku have always been a...complicated...matter. Please, you did me no harm and I mean no offense, I just seek to understand."

She turns back to the Moshi and bows slightly before turning again to include all three in the conversation.

[Moshi Asakiko]

"I do not use the kami to donsuvh divinations. These are mere tools that we use with a little insight that we have that give us meanings of what the future holds." She gave a bow. "As for location, well I would prefer to be near a shrine but then those who are not spiritually inclined will not have such experience or be curious of what I can do."

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu tilts her head a little.

"So you do not use magical or spiritual means to perform these fortunes? How then? Who made these tools? Are they magic themselves?"
