She could do her morning rituals off-screen before or after a scene in that time slot, since whatever happens in the scene probably isn't three hours long? If they are of a private nature and wouldn't fit into a scene, that is.

I did a whole fluff thing about Amaya dressing and performing a full tea ceremony (about an hour by the time she's set everything up and put it all away again) before putting on her makeup. But some things are more important than your morning caffeine hit

Not to say that she couldn't start a few scandalous rumours and invite someone or two to tea first thing.

I do like 3:1 a lot better. And with my work schedule 2:1 is difficult.

I was thinking of poking my head in another thread or two tonight If I can find any.

But I may be lazy instead. Tomorrow is a long day of work.

One pbp I was in once had 4:1. That was better for me than 2:1... but not by much.

I've seen a couple do 2 days a week though, alternating 3 and 4. Usually put the weekends in the 4 day chunks since posting slows down considerably on the weekends, at least for many pbps.

yeah that's not so bad. With slower games like that though, I'm better with the 2 hour time slots. That way I don't have to fill them all at once, and have a bit of time to work things out with people for threads.

So many people warned that the 1:1 ratio was insane. Ah well. No need to get negative.

Just remember for those reading and wanting to GM: 1:1 means you AND your players have no life other than the forum. It becomes your job and hobby until you are done.

Back in my day and when I started, games were three days for one day and four days for the other. That was probably pretty slow then there was a period where we went back to 2/2/3. I kind of remember that the first day would spent catching up with posts on the previous day and posting for events on that day, then the second day would be when I actually started my day. 3 day weekends felt like awesome. 3/3/etc is saner.

I heard some players got their start on 1:1 in WC2. My respect.
