Yukarin and I got Edge of the Empire today and read up on a lot in a bit of a cram session. A few questions whose answer I may have missed.

1) Is there enough reason to get more than one book? We noticed there were different races and careers, but I know it's the same rules and dice explanations for the most part. Is it enough new to justify $60?

2) Regarding Obligation; so 20 max according to the compilation thread first post. Does that mean 3k credits is the maximum starting amount? Some of the gear can take all that at once, or not even be accessible.

1) Honestly I would say not really unless you want to be military/Jedi/Sith really badly.

2) I'm not home so I'll have to check the money again. However, keep in mind the signature items. For many it will be lightsabers but others can take other things.

Again, EotE. And that's a part of why I ask, I don't want to be a colonist or bounty hunter in crap gear trying to keep up with lightsabers and force powers! I don't know where signature items are in here.

Probably going Smuggler but just in case: morality and/or duty are either of those used?

Signature items are not a standard thing. Basically talk to us about am item that you want and you can likely have it. It is, as you say, a way for you to keep up with lightsabers xD
