Bliss [Day 11, late evening, Fukawa's yurt]

[Doji Fukawa]

Ugh, the yurt. Apparently you could take the Unicorn out of the yurt, but you couldn't take the yurt out of the Unicorn. Still, Fukawa was too happy to be with Akil to make too big a deal about it right now.

"We could go stargazing on clear nights." she offers. "Just the two of us, and the Heavens shining down."

[Shinjo Akil]

"I would love that," he nodded, unaware of her silent destruction of his house. "We could bring some food with us and make a picnic out of it."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa smiles.

"I can see that. An evening picnic, watching the fireflies come out as heralds of the night. Little lights preceding the stars." she says, sighing happily.

[Shinjo Akil]

He sighed in contentment as well. "The beauty of the evening enhanced by music from my flute and your lovely voice..."

[Doji Fukawa]

She snuggled up to him a bit.

"Oh, most definitely. It's going to be a long, but very pleasant trip back to Crane lands." she says.

[Shinjo Akil]

He nodded. "We are fortunate in that regard. Others were not so blessed..."

Fukawa looks up thoughtfully at Akil.

"Hmm, how would you say your clanmates fared, A-kun?" she asked, curious about his insight.

[Shinjo Akil]

"Ide Amaya was clearly displeased," he sighed, "nor Moto Butaj. Though I do hope that others were as lucky as we, those were the two most noticeable."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa shakes her head.

"Ah, Butaj the Scorpion. He who detested so much as a paper fan hiding intention drawn into a clan of masks. I would not wish such a fate upon anyone, but it seems especially cruel to inflict upon Butaj-san." she comments.

[Shinjo Akil]

"Indeed," he sighed, "he is so earnest and kind. It seems a cruel fate to bestow upon such a man, to be forced into that web of shadows."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa nods.

"I wish we could do something for him. But he'll serve the Scorpion clan, either knowingly or unknowingly." she says. "Hopefully, his next turn on the wheel will be a better one."
