No problems there. The dragon is blind, she'll never know the difference. We can just tell her Kemuri had a tragic accident, and was rendered mute. Just have to make that Iuchi actually mute.

As Kemuri will probably be sharing the dragon already, that might be the best option.

Dong-Ha was oblivious to Hotaru's crush on him, Hotaru was adorably shy and opaque about it and played off singing a Moto song for him as a friendly joke, then couldn't come out and say she cared for him after hiding it so carefully for days, so she asked someone else to the prom... it's all very high school,* until someone takes a three-foot razor to the neck.

I was late to the conversation...but I like this post. To the debacle, I think people mostly deconstructed a majority of it. The week I was scarce was also to blame, while we're at it, as I lost a lot of potential bonding time with people.
