I just want to say a great big thank you to Butaj, Hirase, Tomoe, Mizuki, Misa, Hotaru, and Baatar (I think that's everyone, super sorry if I missed someone!) for all playing a role in this whirlwind romance. It would not have been possible, nor nearly as fun with as many twists and turns if all of you had not been involved.

I was of the understanding that Mizuki didn't want crash a Baatar-involved ship (that didn't end up getting shipped)?

Pretty much this. And she had already decided on Taichi when Hotaru didn't pick him.

No worries. Baatar became infatuated with Hotaru on day 3, but it became clear that Hotaru wasn't interested by day 7. Around day 5 Baatar finally grasped that the miai was important to the Clan, and this wasn't just some sort of punishment, so he started trying to meet other people in hopes that he'd make a favorable impression on someone. I had several people who I thought might have Baatar as one of their backup picks, and had decided on who he would pick if he eventually got a choice of his own. I never would've predicted that he'd get scooped up by Asako Yuki.

The miai was an interesting and cyclical journey for Kemuri. Misa was the first one he took an interest in, but he saw potential in every woman he met before Mei became the clear frontrunner. Without Mei, I would have been hoping to be picked to avoid making a choice myself.
