A quiet conversation (D10, EM, Closed)

"Well, if it won't be us, I hope that it will be you and someone else that can drive your curiosity and help grant and feed a sense of wanderlust," he says with a wink.

[Matsu Kogo]

She chuckles at the wink. " The world is wide and duty may take me anywhere. Let us hope, while there is something to hope for. And until then, let us cherish what is there." She laughs a little more. "You see, I have been listening."

"Yes you have. Don't forget that hope. It's the most useful weapon against the bad things that may happen in life," he replies with a chuckle. "Well, unless the bad thing is bandits. Then a sword or bow is a bit more useful."

[Matsu Kogo]

She laughs a little more honestly this time. "Monkh-san, I suspect you will never stop surprising me. But I will not forget your words or this time. You are one of the first people to seek to teach me my own value. I will cherish your words." She says, her sincerity in her eyes and voice.

"I am happy to. You're a wonderful, strong and beautiful person and I don't want you to ever forget that."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo is still startled by these sorts of things, though she shouldn't be by now. Her face reddens and she ducks her head. However, after a breath or so, she raises her face and says, "Thank you Monk-san. I will do my best to remember. And I hope you will remember what I have said in return. You have been a faithful friend to me, even though we have known each other only this short time. You will bring your sunny disposition and luck to someone. I hope they are grateful for the blessings the Fortunes have given them." She says, her face serious and sincere.

He smiles widely at her. "If they aren't grateful, then I'll simply wear them down over time like the wind erodes the mountain until I soften them up with my pleasant disposition. Though I do hope that whoever it is will be receptive. I know at least you will be if it should turn out that way."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo keeps on laughing, wishing she had her fan for a brief moment so she could cover her mouth. She settles for covering it with her hand. "You....Kami.....I can't even.." She takes a few deep breaths. "I am sure, that if they are not grateful, then they surely will be. Your optimism sounds ready to move mountains." She smiles at him. "Yes, I suspect you will not need quite so much energy to find me appreciative of your qualities." Her smiles takes on a mischievous look. "But you are more than welcome to put your full effort in. I would not wish for you to feel the challenge was not sufficient."

He laughs along with her, feeling quite joyful in the moment.

"Right now I'm circling the lands and getting the lay of them. Soon it will be time to charge. If you think you've seen effort thus far... right now I'm at a canter. In a day, I'll be at full gallop and charging the future. I look forward to being able to act unrestrained, seeking to bring as much joy as I can to someone else in life."

[Matsu Kogo]

She laughs, a red coming to her cheeks at his boldness. "I look forward to seeing you gallop forward Monkh-san, whoever it is with. Such joy as yours should not be restrained, like a horse that longs to run free." She smiles at him, enoying sharing this moment. "I will never forget my first gallop. It felt like I had become one with the sky, like a cloud scudding before a storm."

"I'm definitely glad that I got the opportunity to practice riding with you. It was a fun experience. Perhaps if you join the Unicorn and get your own horse we can go for a ride someday and race!"

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles at the thought. "I would enjoy that greatly. Though to be honorable, you will have to give me some time to practice. It will take time before I am anywhere near as easy in the saddle as you." She teases.

"I wouldn't dream of an unfair match. And perhaps I may end up continuing your riding lessons in the future. Who knows?" he says with a smile.

She smiles back. "Then I will look forward to happy times with my sensei, who is wise and kind."

"You know, you have a wonderful smile. Seeing you happy makes me feel even better."
