[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo smiles, seeing him calm. "It is all right Kaiu-san. I am sorry I am so short with you. It has been...a slightly trying day. But it is something you should consider. A samurai is not ashamed of his abilities. Many will praise them. Accepting that praise is a skill. You must just learn a new skill. I am still learning it as well."

Hiroji smiles. "You truly are wise Kogo-san. I mean it." He sighs. "Well how have you fared?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She shakes her head and then realizes she is breaking her own advice. "Ahh Kaiu-san. Wisdom comes with time. I am older. Your wisdom will come. You have your own stores that you have just not unlocked yet." She hears his sigh but decides not to address it and shrugs at his question.

"At this point, I have no idea what will be tomorrow. There are many I would be fine with being chosen by, there are several I could choose if given a chance. But I fear that patience must be my watch word for the coming day. This party will absorb my attention and I am almost grateful for it." She sighs a little herself. "I am glad for the information that we received, but I wish Moshi-san had told us that Khulun-san was one of those who had been at the meeting. That meeting in the field could have gone better."

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji scratches the back of his head. "yes, I could have arranged that a bit better. I am sorry. I am not the best at social gatherings." He gives a nervous chuckle.

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo smiles. "Wait until you see the party tonight before you think I have a right to criticize. I am just hoping that few come, so that at least it can be quiet. If not....who knows what may occur?"

[Kaiu Hiroji]

"The sky is the limit Kogo-san." Hiroji smiles, the red slowly disappearing from his face.

[Matsu Kogo]

She returns the smile. "Let us hope so Kaiu-san. I mean, we have been acknowledged by a kuge of the Otaku family. What else could be better?" A slight pink comes to Kogo's cheeks.

And if she braided my hair afterwards...well, that is its own acknowledgment.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji too reddens again. "Yes, Um... I am sure it is a good omen." He pauses and scratches the back of his head. "What are your plans for after the miai?"

Kogo shrugs. "With my prospects in the air, who knows? Currently I am trying to live in the present and enjoy it. A wise friend I met here gave my good advice. "She says, smiling.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji responds to her smile. "I suppose that is sage advice indeed. We may never know what the future has in store for us... Well except maybe if we're Moshi-san. But we are not."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo laughs at this. "I do not envy Moshi-san. I suspect many a samurai has become irate at her for their fortunes. As if she had any say in her divinations. Still, I hope what she foresaw for me holds true, however it turns out."

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji raises his brow. "What did she see in your future?"

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo smiles at him. "She spoke of perseverance, of overcoming impossible odds. Though I suspect it may have been more optimistic than what may end up occurring, I cannot help but feeling that perhaps, something will come along that changes things. " She shrugs. "It is not my usual way of thinking but it seems all the interactions I've had have borne some fruit. I am not as concerned about my future as I have been in the past. Regardless, I shall do my duty. Now, it is my duty to be patient and wait."

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji nods. "Wise words Kogo-San. Ones to live by. Thank you for coming. "

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo nods, sensing that Hiroji has some thinking of his own to do. She rises and bows. "My pleasure Hiroji-san. Do not hesitate to call on me in the future, should you need me, wherever you end up." She smiles with a bit of mischief to it. "The Otaku are a matriarchal clan, like the Matsu. I suspect I could help you navigate such a thing, if you were chosen."
