Another Day, Another Drink [Day 8 EM]

He smiled and nodded, "Nothing would make me happier."

"Then auntie Tomoe can tell your kids all about the stupid stuff their father did when he was younger. Like fighting tigers and climbing trees with poisonous snakes."

She shook her head as she chuckled. "I'm amazed you're still alive."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "Don't make me look too. bad, every kid deserves to think their dad is a hero at one point in their lives."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Knowing how kids can be, you'd probably be the boldest hero imaginable," she grinned. "I've spent a lot of time with the children back home at Shiro Usagi... I know you were surprised when you saw how many of our samurai are actually just toddlers and infants. And the young ones? They adore fearless idiots who jump into danger without a second thought."

He smiled, "Maybe I'll be a decent role model after all."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Who knows?" she chuckled, trying to imagine Yuuru handling a flock of eager children.

"I'll have to write you, and hear how married life is treating you. If you've been made into a good little housewife."

He chuckled, "I don't think that'll ever happen... but I'll write you on my progress."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Seeing as how they could both sit here easily for a long time and talk about this and that, they both had work to do this day; the puppies needed their training, after all.

"I should let you get back to training your little Saru," Tomoe got up to her feet and brushed the dirt off her kimono.

He smiled and nodded, "Don't be a stranger little bunny. I'll be watching for your happy moment in a couple of days."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"As I'll be watching for yours, friend monkey." She chuckled and whistled for Chibi-Usa, who came running.

"Best of luck with Saru-kun."

Yuuru nodded and waved goodbye.
