[Moshi Asakiko]

"Well... Lady Moto came to me the night we were chatting around the fire and asked me what I knew and who knew what I knew. So you know... about it so she knows what you know about you know..." Asakiko channeled her inner Dragon.

Kogo pauses, attempting to decipher this code that the Moshi is speaking. A slight frown creases over her brow. "Your divinations are clearer than what you have said. But I think I have deciphered it." She looks to Khulun. "The diviner has also spoke to you of what she has seen?"

[Moto Khulun]

"Yes," she says.

"As I said I hope her flute playing is better than her fortunes."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo looks slightly confused. "Then...you are concerned as well? At what she has seen?"

Did the Moshi invite her? Have I bumbled it all?

[Moto Khulun]

"Of course I am, anything that concerns the Unicorn has my ear," she responds.

"Would it not be the same if she saw foul visions of the Lion."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo nods vigorously. "Of course. I just...she did not mention you. So I was unaware that you were aware of the situation." Kogo looks around, seeking something from the group. "Have you heard anything from your fellow Unicorn clan members about this?"

[Moto Khulun]

"I thought this was about a picnic?" Khulun asks.

"Would the Lion be quick to share internal matters such as this with others? Since you asked, some know... some do not."

[Moshi Asakiko]

The Moshi didn't invite her but She wasn't going to pay it as the Unicorn had payed her when the unwanted visitor came. Asakiko may not be educated in etiquette but know how to be courteous to uninvited guests. "I think we should discuss this in a less open environment. There are many who are concerned as well, but not by what I seen but what they have seen themselves."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo looks sideways at Khulun and the Moshi. "This is scarcely an internal matter, Moto-san. The defense of the Empire is one that all Rokugani must be involved in. For such a one as the Moshi has described to be visiting the camp, it is a source of grave concern and danger. The Lion...have their own history in allowing things such as this to stay internal matters. It has proven a false wisdom."

She nods at the Moshi's words, but waits for Khulun's reply.

[Moto Khulun]

"Yet I see a single Unicorn here and one not even at this event. So obviously you either think less of us or consider us corrupt," she says putting the pieces together.

"We value allies but we have spent many centuries alone. Old habits die hard."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo looks serious.
"We do not know who was present at the event. Shinjo-san was merely present with us when the Moshi gave us this information. We did not wish to invite others into the conversation, for fear of starting a panic. And we did not wish to embarrass our hosts by asking pointed quesitons. But it is not because we do not respect you Moto-san. Indeed, your blade is fierce and sharp. Had I known you knew of this occurrence, I would have asked you to join us, for your knowledge is greater than mine."

"I understand. You are used to handling things on your own. But...the Crab's knowledge of our ancient enemy is one that is valued. The Lion...have recently suffered at the enemy's hand. We merely wished to pool our information, so that we could take next steps."

"You are here. Now. I will tell you what I know, if you will share as well. You have my hand on that." She sticks her hand out, in imitation of the Moto handshake Butaj had shown her. She hoped that Taichi was right, that it was a sign of honesty and sizing one up.

[Moto Khulun]

She accepts it and says, "Then it will be so Sayyeda."

This would all go so much better if they just came out and didn't dance around the issue. Of course, they'd promised now to share what they knew... but well, she wasn't sure how that would play out yet. And she had yet to bumble her way into the conversation properly yet.

But she had designs along such lines.

"I suppose we should start with how that meeting came to be arranged, then."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo shakes the Moto's hand gratefully, feeling as if somehow, she has discovered something important. But it will wait. "You speak wisely, Mantis-san." She turns to the group, including Khulun. "Does anyone here know how the meeting was arranged?"

[Moto Khulun]

"On the first night of the miai, myself and the Dragon Udo and a Rsbbit samurai met talking dead birds. They gave me this and said to return the next night."

She shows them the Shinjo relic on the hilt of her sword.

"The same night sayyed Taichi and I slew an oni. The next night I returned and the dead birds offered to meet again with their master. They promised it was of importance to the Unicorn so I gathered others and returned and met this Onyx Champion. The Mantis and Moshi were there guided by their own visions. He told us Shinjo lives and wanted our aid against The Lying Darkness."
