Another Day, Another Drink [Day 8 EM]

He chuckled, "Vehemently? No."

[Yasuki Tomonaga]

"When this is all over, meet me back here. Last day. Alright?" she said, holding her plan close. There was a slight deviousness to her smile that betrayed how much she enjoyed her idea.

"Okay." Tomonaga said. "Sure." He smiled back at her. "I trust you, even though when you're making that face, it makes me wonder if I shouldn't. Is there some devious plan you have that I should know about?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

He chuckled, "Vehemently? No."

"Luckier than me then," she chuckled and nudged him playfully.

"... Hard to think it's all going to be over soon. And almost none of us know where we will end up." She had her hopes, but she also saw the big hurdle ahead she had to overcome.

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "It's a bit like jumping out of a tree."

He chuckled, "But even when that goes wrong... somethings right can come from it."

He turned to face her and look at her affectionately. "Some things that are really right."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"... I just hope I can marry someone I like." She sighed. "Even if it isn't the one I'd like the most... I just don't want it to be some ignorant brute."

"You're at least in a position to choose. I'm not."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "I don't know what position you think I'm in... but we're in the same boat my dear. I'm sure you'll end up with someone that fits you and you fit them."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Okay." Tomonaga said. "Sure." He smiled back at her. "I trust you, even though when you're making that face, it makes me wonder if I shouldn't. Is there some devious plan you have that I should know about?"

Fei thought on that for a long moment before she decided to answer, hand having come up to her chin in order to aid the thought. "Nope," she answered, shaking her head. Deciding it would be more amusing to her this way. "Nothing sinister Tomonaga-san, just make sure to be here alright?"

He chuckled, "I don't know what position you think I'm in... but we're in the same boat my dear. I'm sure you'll end up with someone that fits you and you fit them."

"You're a lot more hopeful than me," she moped a little as she pulled her knees up to her chin. "But yeah, we're both in similar boats, it seems. I've found someone I'd like, who likes me too, but there are others ahead of the two of us who want to choose him. You currently have a higher standing than I in the contest, but... well, no one who wants you to choose them yet, it seems."

Tomoe smiled a little bitterly as she looked at her friend. "A shame it had to turn out like this."

With a grin, Tomonaga bowed. "Well then, Fei-san, I'm curious to see what you'll come up with. I'll be here, I promise."

"Good," she said, pleased with the result. Bowing in form of parting, "Until then? Tomonaga-san."

He chuckled, "I don't know what position you think I'm in... but we're in the same boat my dear. I'm sure you'll end up with someone that fits you and you fit them."

"You're a lot more hopeful than me," she moped a little as she pulled her knees up to her chin. "But yeah, we're both in similar boats, it seems. I've found someone I'd like, who likes me too, but there are others ahead of the two of us who want to choose him. You currently have a higher standing than I in the contest, but... well, no one who wants you to choose them yet, it seems."

Tomoe smiled a little bitterly as she looked at her friend. "A shame it had to turn out like this."

He smiled and nodded, "It is what it is."

"It is what it is," she sighed, nodding a little.

"Maybe we should talk about something else? This miai-business often gets my mind wandering to too many possibilities I don't want to consider..."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled, "Positive thoughts lead to positive results."

He looked over to here, "Don't let the rules get you down Tomoe-chan. You're a bright girl with a great deal of promise. Whatever happens you'll be able to make a good path for yourself."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Maybe," she shrugged. "I'm not worried about my path ahead. I have a place within the Hare, I will probably be given a place within the Unicorn, wherever that might be..."

I'm more worried about a bad husband.

Whatever it was she was thinking, it was weighing heavily on her mind.

"... How goes your maps? Finished them already?"

He nodded, "I turned them into the governor yesterday. I got a thank you... was hoping for some brownie points on the scoreboard... but apparently they weren't impressive enough."
