She acutely feels the distance between them. Just inches, but it might as well be miles if she was not in his arms. She holds his gaze, her eyes still dark and troubled.

Hideo looked into her eyes, reading the pain in them. He took one more step towards, and wrapped his arms around her. Pulling her to him in a hug, and placing a kiss on her head. "You will always have my, my beautiful Amaya."

[Ide Amaya]

She melts against him, sliding her arms around his waist and laying her head on his chest, "I am trying not to give in to the doubts, but I still know I will be a goat in the Imperial stables."

[Seppun Hideo]

"My darling Amaya...you are young, and you've never experienced the courts before. However" he leans back slightly, looking down at her "you will be brilliant. I entirely believe that you can become a darling of the Imperial Families. Beyond any doubt."

"You need not be so extravagant in your praise. I have no need or desire to be a darling in the Courts. I only wish to be with you. To make you happy." She looks up, her eyes clearing, "as happy as you make me."

"I have already considered you may not wish to be a part of the Imperial courts, my love. So instead...I have considered a different duty for you, beyond continuing to make me the happiest man alive" he smiled at her

She tilts her head to one side, curious, "what do you mean?"

"It's a secret" Hideo grinned "however I do have some friends among the Miya would would certainly welcome the expertise of the Unicorn with looking after their horses."

[Ide Amaya]

She lights up, smiling, "oh, you really think so?" The light abruptly fades, "is that fitting work for an Imperial wife?"

[Seppun Hideo]

"I don't see why not" Hideo said with a smile "I would not expect you to clean out the stables, but looking after the horses would certainly fall under something samurai would do."

[Ide Amaya]

Burying her face against his chest, she hugs him tightly, child-like. Slightly muffled, "thank you."

Hideo strokes her hair, smiling happily as he whispered "Anything to make you happy, my love."

[Ide Amaya]

"You have been so good to me. Kind, and generous, understanding, and you have taught me much. Perhaps those who hope to drive us apart seek to do so from jealousy." And that rules Suteichi out, he'd have to have feelings to be jealous, says that unkind voice inside her.

[Seppun Hideo]

"Push those worries from your mind, and instead we can focus on each other" Hideo smiled at her "perhaps I can find something...better for you to think about?"
