[Asako Yuki]

Yuki blushed at that. "Ah, hai, there was." She paused. "I admit, I'm not entirely certain why that fight started. Hopefully it can be resolved with minimal bloodshed though."

[Togashi Udo]

"I think that fight was going to happen regardless, that it was determined when the miai participants were. The only question was who it would involve." A brief flash of anger crosses Udo's face.

"But I am sure that it will pass quickly. Only fools start fights over foolish things. I have not yet met a fool here, so hopefully everyone will come to their senses."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki looked confused for a moment. "Ano, does Togashi-san know what the duel is over? Why do you say it was going to happen regardless?"

Yuki looked like she'd met one or two which she considered to be fools while she was here, and so wouldn't be surprised if they were involved, or egging it on.

[Togashi Udo]

"I know that if the duel was over something important, it wouldn't have happened like it did. That we'd at least know why it was occurring." Udo shrugs.

"And I say it was going to happen regardless because a duelist showed up looking to prove something. It was only a matter of time."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki looked confused again. "Are you referring to Miya Mei? I thought she was here for the Miai..."

[Togashi Udo]

"When you come across a river in your challenges, you are not incorrect in assuming that it is there for a drink on a hot day... that does not make it any less of a river."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki paused at that, then smiled with some amusement. "But Togashi-san, I am trained as a duelist. I haven't challenged anyone to a duel yet."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo smiles. "Just because one has a current does not make one a river." He chuckles. "I mean no offense, Asako-san. And forgive me if I am wrong, but you seem like a samurai who knows how to duel. There are others who are duelists who know how to samurai."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki didn't look entirely convinced by this, but nodded anyway. He was the Togashi after all. She smiled. "No, you are correct. I have learned to better defend others, not to attack."

[Togashi Udo]

"...can I ask you about dueling?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled. "Hai, of course Togashi-san."

Rei had finally roused herself and groggily looked about before rolling up onto her feet.

[Togashi Udo]

"What is the most important part? How quickly one draws the blade?"

He looks up at the ceiling. "I have not seen many duels in my life. How does one know when to strike? Can they strike too quickly?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki shook her head. "Well, yes and no. It is hard to say which is the most important part of a duel. Noticing an opponent's weakness or flaw that you can exploit first is, of course, of great importance. But the blade that does not hit it's mark is of no use either." Yuki explained as it had been explained to her.

She paused again, looking to Rei who had found a flower and was bending down, ready to pounce on it. "Feeling the moment is... difficult to describe. One can strike too swiftly though. Often it means that they miss."

[Togashi Udo]

"Hmm. What sort of weakness do you look for? What happens if you find none?"

[Asako Yuki]

"Distraction is the main one. Sometimes even a slip up as they go for their blade, or their weight shifting incorrectly. There are many things that could change the fate of a duel." Yuki says with a nod. "It is very uncommon to not find a fault, if you don't it is likely that the heavens have already decided who shall be the victor, and you should take your time to prepare for that."
