Wake up Tea (Day 8 Late Morning, Akil's Yurt)

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"It should be me dueling, not Otaku-sama." Yue shook her head. "I hope it does not take that long, Akil-san."

[Shinjo Akil]

"We are facing generations of conditioning on both sides. It will take time for there to be full understanding," he sighed, then shook his head. "Do not find yourself getting caught up in questions of what should have happened. What has happened has happened, and we will endure together as we always have."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Hai." Yue smiled softly. "I suppose it took awhile for our Clan to acclimate to the Burning Sands."

[Shinjo Akil]

"Exactly," he nodded, "we need to be patient, and not bear ourselves up over mistakes we had no way of knowing to be such."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I knew it was risky. However, I still sang the song." Yue let out a soft sigh. "It is a reminder that Compassion is not held in high regard universally."

[Shinjo Akil]

"Indeed," he nodded, "but it will be alright. Give it a couple of days and some new scandal will no doubt have everyone's attention."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"The miai will be over in a couple of days," Yue retorted gently. She let out a soft sigh. "I am hopeful that the puppies will distract people from committing any more scandals." Gon replied with a happy bark and wagged his tail.

[Shinjo Akil]

"Somehow I doubt it," he laughed, "some seem addicted to scandal. The puppies will just be a temporary reprieve."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Let us hope it is not our Clan again," she said with a sigh. "It was a harsh blow to my chances to have all of our standings lowered on the board."

She took a sip of tea and looked away coyly. "I may be a hypocrite but I did not get caught."

[Shinjo Akil]

"Which is all we can ask for," he smirked, "I just stayed away from most of it... Well... Mostly..."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Mostly?" she repeated. Yue leaned in and peered at him, her lips turning into a smirk. "What do you mean, Akil-san?"

His face reddened even more, and he looked down into his tea cup. "ah.... I may have kissed... Matsu Kogo... On the separate occasions."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue blinked. "Perhaps you should refrain from telling others of your escapades." She let out a small giggle afterwards. "You are a popular man, Akil-san. Does this other woman know of your arrangement with Doji-san?"

He sighed at that, then nodded. "It... caused problems."

She took a sip of tea. "Are these problems ongoing, Akil-san?"
