(D8, EA, Open) - Dojo Dogs

[Togashi Udo]

Udo came to the dojo with his puppy, intent on training. There was much they both had to learn.

Looking at the dog, he really hoped it would learn just by watching him or something.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki stopped on her way to the temple. "Rei! Come Rei!" She sidled over to where the dog had stopped following Yuki and laid down. "Tired already? Bah, lazy boy." She said with a warm smile and indulgently picked up the puppy and carried him the rest of the way to the dojo. Spotting someone else there, she paused and set her pup down before bowing to him.

"Togashi-san." At least, she was pretty sure it was the Togashi.

[Togashi Udo]

"Hello Asako-san," Udo said with a bow. "How goes puppy training?"

[Asako Yuki]

"Ano..." She glanced down at the puppy, who had decided that the floor was a perfect place for a puppy nap.

"I guess we'll see?" She finished, looking back up at the Togashi. "What about you, Togashi-san?"

[Togashi Udo]

Udo looks at his dog. "I think I am being trained in the care of a dog, but I'm not sure the dog is learning anything..." Udo frowns. "It is odd to try to change the animal's nature, and yet, all people are taught so they might rise above their natures."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki shook her head. "That's not the way I see it. We refine their nature. Tamed animals want to do our bidding, but when they are young, like a child, they do not know how. We teach them."

[Togashi Udo]

"How do you know they want to do so?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki paused for a moment to think on that, or how to best explain it. "Because it is not too difficult to train them. If they did not want to it would be far harder to teach them, I think."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo chuckles. "If only I could explain that to those who've called me difficult to teach!"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki giggled a bit. "Hai, I remember occasionally hearing my sensei say that of other students."

Rei, meanwhile, rolled over onto her back in the midst of sleep and let out a dream bark.

[Togashi Udo]

"So how are you, Asako-san? Are you enjoying the miai? So much time is spent trying to find a match, I feel like I haven't had a chance to talk with non-Unicorn!"

Udo's dog, which he didn't name, is running around the outside of the dojo in circles.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki nodded. "Oh, hai, it's been a lot of fun. I've met so many people." The young Phoenix smiled warmly and nodded. "Hai, much of my time has been spent with the Unicorn as well."

She paused, thinking for a moment. "Togashi-san sang for Otaku Imane, yes? Is that who he favors to chose when the miai ends?"

[Togashi Udo]

"It is possible, if she'd want that. Another sang for me, and I'd prefer to choose someone who wants me to choose them. I won't make up my mind until I have to."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki tilted her head to one side a bit. "Eh? I am sorry, Togashi-san. I must have been distracted and missed who sang for you."

[Togashi Udo]

"There was quite a bit to distract, was there not? I admit I am a bit worried about Otaku-sama."
