Hopeful Endeavors [Day 7, Early Evening]

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"This one is an important one," she said, helping to steady Gokiburi. "Dismounting."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"The dismount... there's a special way to do that?" he was clearly confused.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Not really special, just mounting in reverse, but it is an important part to remember to do properly and carefully. Learning how to work together and adjust your weight with one another," she gave as her instinctual answer.

"But most importantly, you remind yourself and your horse that you will dismount eventually," she said, seeming to parrot that more than actually say it. Of course, Gokiburi already knew he'd get off being he was trained years ago but well.. Fei wasn't actually sure of how to be a teacher at all. Just picking things up from what she remembered of her own training.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi thought on it for a moment then finally shrugged and just went for it. He removed his right foot from the stirrup first then swung his weight and he stumbled but nailed the dismount. He turned to Gokiburi and pet him.

"Thank you. I do hope that we can do this again some time." he turned to her and smiled.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Maybe we will even be able to get you a proper horse of her own," she nearly bit her tongue after the word proper slipped in there.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi shrugged and smiled faintly.

"Thank you for the lesson...honorable sensei. Perhaps we will do this again sometime. If there's nothing else, shall we prepare for dinner that I promised you?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Yes, I will have to see Gokiburi back to the stable. Care to go ahead to your yurt and I will meet you there when I am done getting him settled?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Of course. You'll be in for a wonderful surprise."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"I expect I will," she said, mounting Gokiburi after he stepped a bit away. Starting to ride him off toward the stables.

"Till then."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Till then." Suteichi turned and walked back to his Yurt.
