That made her lift her head, gazing up at him in the darkness, "we'll see," and she smiled, cat-like, and settled down again against his chest.

Hideo laughed at that. "and here I hoped my beloved would answer positively. I shall have to prove myself daily to her. My services as a pillow are at least acceptable?"

She stifled a yawn and laughed softly. "That they are, a rare thing to have a pillow that holds you back."
