An evening stroll (D6, LE)

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa nods.


"The Moto especially will take some time to acclimate." she poses. "I think Moto Butaj is learning, and Moto Baatar is an inquisitive soul, but they are but two Moto."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Moto Butaj-sama is not a typical Moto either." he nodded. "The Moto are honorabke, however, even if they are likely to maintain a number of unusual traditions."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa considered that.


"Not....their unusual greetings though, right?" she asked, not wanting to directly talk about what Butaj had done to her.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Hand shaking?" he asked. "We'll probably learn to keep that custom to ourselves. Many of us have already adapted to greetings more acceptable by Rokugani standards."

[Doji Fukawa]

There was a look that crossed the Doji's face that made it pretty clear that hand shaking was not what she had in mind.

BUT if they were going to go with just traditional greetings, she didn't have to mention the incident again.

"It will be tough, but from what I've seen of the honor of your clan, I am certain that you are meant to be here in the Empire." she says.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I am sure of that." he nodded. "We came home to add our strength to the Empire. Initial tensions aside, we are here to serve Rokugan."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa nods.

"That is good to know, Shinjo-san." she replies. "Some do not have that same clarity as to whom they ultimately serve. It speaks well of your clan's honor."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Thank you, Doji-sama." he dipped his head. "I hope that others of the Empire recognize that as well as you do."
