Yuki smiled. "Hai, I am glad for you." She said, not yet knowing who it would be. "I sort of wish I could actually come to Unicorn lands, stay here. But I don't believe that I will be as lucky as that. Mine is below me in points."

[Ide Amaya]

"There may yet be a place here that requires you, even if your man is to become Phoenix. The Unicorn are yet to carve out their place, we will require help. Even if you cannot stay, perhaps you will return."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki paused, not having considered that. "That would be for the best, I think." She thought of her family. "Though, as neither of us are courtiers, I'm not certain how likely that is to happen."

[Ide Amaya]

"It takes more than Courtiers to make a Clan."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled. "Hai, but it's usually the courtiers that get sent on long lasting trips to other clans." She paused a bit. "We'll probably have to make our own home in Phoenix lands. That will be a nice challenge."

[Ide Amaya]

"I have no doubt that you will happy wherever you go. You bring a piece of the Unicorn with you, even if they are no longer that in name."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled. "Hai, I suppose I will. That will be good for your clan, neh? Getting people out to the other clans, to explain some of the differences, show that you are noble samurai to those that may doubt."

[Ide Amaya]

"It will be good, also, for the Unicorn to observe in action which we only know in theory. I am trained as Emissary, I cannot yet know how those skills should fair me in Court. And some of our men could certainly benefit if their rougher edges were smoothed. The women as well," she adds as an afterthought.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki paused, thinking of her own paramour and nodded her head. "Hai, Buta- I mean, Moto-san is a great man, but some more traditional minded in Rokugan may not like men such as him."

[Ide Amaya]

Giving no indication that Yuki's slip has revealed the identity of her intended, "the Moto have a resilience that will help them on this path. I'm glad he makes you happy."

[Asako Yuki]

"And yours as well." Yuki said with a warm smile. "Aya, I just hope nothing happens between now and the choosing to ruin it."

[Ide Amaya]

"Don't be so quick to invite unhappy Fortune. The ma-ai is half over and it will be complete before we know it."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki gasped a little. "Ah! Hai, of course." She frowned. "I'm going to have to pray." She blushed in embarrassment.

[Ide Amaya]

Smiling gently, "may the Fortunes be generous with you, Asako-sama. I wish you all the best."

[Asako Yuki]

"You as well, Ide-san." Yuki said, bowing to her. She paused then, looking around. "We are rather far away from the camp, and it is a little dark. Would Ide-san and Satsujin-kun like an escort back to the village?"
