"No flute on stealth missions, no." He chuckled.

"Are you aware of the cause to your health problems?"

[Doji Ameka]

She frowns and looks thoughtful. "It's hard to tell. It was something I was born with, as far as anyone's been able to tell. My mother had difficulty with carrying and bearing me, as well, as I understand it. She didn't have the same problems with my siblings." She turns and looks out the door of the stables, her expression thoughtful.

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled warmly, "It's often the delicate flowers that are the most beautiful. You've shown that to be the case this time."

[Doji Ameka]

"I appreciate that you see it that way," she says warmly. "There's something to be said for the wildflowers that can survive any sort of condition with their bright colors undimmed, as well. They also require less work to maintain. You come back each year and there they are, no special effort required."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "But can strangle and kill all the life around it just as easily."

[Doji Ameka]

She grins. "True. I suppose a delicate flower won't do anything more offensive than survive just long enough to do serve it's purpose well. Do you have any goals you're working toward, Soshi-san?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled, "All samurai life is fleeting... if you can exemplify this level of beauty in the time you have... that is a great achievement Doji-san."

He then nodded, "Yes, I aspire to be a magistrate one day... perhaps of a large city or province."

[Doji Ameka]

"I suppose in some ways having something making one always cognizant of that is an advantage." She says with a smile and a shrug. "That's an admirable goal, Soshi-san. Did anything in particular inspire you toward it?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "My father. He's currently assigned in Ryoko Owari, but all growing up he had been a magistrate in Shiro Soshi. My mother is a priestess, and my two siblings as well... Dad and I always had a great deal in common, and I'm proud to be walking a similar path as he did."

[Doji Ameka]

"That's an admirable goal, Soshi-san... Life continuing as normal in Rokugan hinges on the actions of magistrates like your father, and one day, like yourself. I'm certain you'll reach there," she glances outside quickly. "The sun is getting high. I'd better go figure out what to sing and whom to sing it to."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled and nodded, "I hate to see you go, but I understand. I will watch for your performance."

[Doji Ameka]

"I'll keep an eye out for you," she said with a nod. "Are you planning to perform, yourself?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He shook his head, "I have no intent on causing drama between my potential spouses. Besides, a man's affections for a woman are something that should be kept discrete."

[Doji Ameka]

She chuckled and nodded. "I had a feeling it wouldn't be long before you had a slew of potential spouses. That's a reasonable approach."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "With my luck though, I'll miss out on all of them. That's why I'm trying to be a bit careful in how I proceed. No more room for misinterpretation."
