He chuckled and bowed apologetically, "Then I am sorry. I thought it was a play on words."

He smiled and looked over at Kitakuhime, "I'm sure she's a lovely lady. I had offered to sit and talk with me when we met... but apparently I was too... something... and she ran off on her horse and commanded me to find a horse and chase her. I don't know if it was some Unicorn ritual or something, but I don't own a horse. So I must have upset her in some way..."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

The Hare Tsukimi hasn't song bad, and Daisuke at least approved of her choice. Even if the rumors said he had chosen another at least she was making a attempt.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Because it is out of my control," he stated simply, "I could worry about what has happened, or I could breathe and stay light and prepare for what is to come. I admit, I have done far more worrying this miai than I like, and for the time being I am opting to try not to."

Yue looked at him for a fair bit. Eventually, she closed her fan and smiled. "Akil-dono is quite wise! Hai!" She brought the fan back over her lips. "I will not fret about it. However, I wonder if others of our Clan will follow in their footsteps."

[Asako Yuki]

If this is some attempt at solidarity among kin, the first two shouldn't have sung for other non-clan women. This is a little embarrassing now.

Hideo looked over the crowds, his eyes stopping on Amaya for a few moments before continuing to look at the breathless Asako. He moved towards her, giving her a bow.

A little red faced, though it was hard to tell if that was from the songs or that she was still recovering from her own performance, Yuki saw the approaching Seppun and bowed to him, a little warily, given her last meeting with a Seppun.

"Seppun-sama. Your piece was beautiful and heartfelt."

[Shinjo Akil]

"We will see," he shrugged. "Perhaps Liu Yue-san would enjoy tea with me tomorrow morning? We can talk about things better in a less crowded setting, I think."

[Moto Khulun]

Khulun enters the gallery with a nervous smile, that took a lot out of her but she was glad to have made her apology so public and heart felt. Surely everyone would see her platonic love for what it was... right?

Right?

Of course, she nailed it.

"We will see," he shrugged. "Perhaps Liu Yue-san would enjoy tea with me tomorrow morning? We can talk about things better in a less crowded setting, I think."

"Hai. I will do as you wish, Akil-dono." Yue let out a small chuckle. "I can imagine my sister is displeased with me at this moment."

[Seppun Hideo]

The Imperial bowed, a smile on his face. "Asako-san, good afternoon. I hope you are well? Thank you for your kind words, I hope the intended target also enjoyed it as much as you have. I wished to commend you on your performance as well, it is clear that the one you favour is blessed to have a talented singer interested in claiming his hand."

[Yogo Mizuki]

"The truth is I look like a Crane. It's easier for people not to get confused this way. They see a mask, they think Scorpion. They see my face wearing a smaller mask, they think I'm a Crane pretending to be a Scorpion."

"Oh!" Baatar said, sounding surprised at this revelation. "That isn't so bad! I thought maybe you had the pox or something."

"I don't think looking like a Crane is bad at all."

Mizuki is silent, until she hears another woman singing her love of a woman. "Moto-san. Is this common in your Clan? Love between the same gender?" Mizuki honestly wanted to know.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

The crane was the first to truly impress Daisuke. Though he had thought she wouldn't participate, still she showed the artistic mastery that her clan was know for.

Which earned a silent toast as he raised his glass in her direction as she left the stage.

[Miya Mei]

Mei looks flabbergasted by the display she has just witnessed.

"E...excuse me, Shinjo-san.."

She meekly bows to her love ballad partner and bows slightly.

"Forgive me, this must be done."

She straightens and her face is hard, crossness dotting every facet of her otherwise soft face.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Do what you feel you must." he nodded.

[Ide Amaya]

She might have completely missed the subject of Lui Yue's song, she hadn't been paying all too much attention, and it hadn't occurred to her that anyone would pick someone of their own gender to sing to. She might have written it off as strange, but when the Otaku Princess sang to the pretty Dragon girl Butaj had been paying court to, she thought she was surely not hearing such things correctly.

Shortly afterwards, however, was her own love, and she watched from behind her fan, hiding the sweet and happy tears that pricked and threatened to spill over, she barely even noticed Moto Khulun's performance.

Mei nods and clears her throat.

She looks for the three women who had just sung songs about others and finds her first target.

"Moto-san!"

Her voice rings out above the crowd, quite harsh.

She steps a few paces away from the group.
