[D6 EE] These Days [Open]

[Asako Yuki]

"Ide-san? Ah, it is Asako Yuki." She bowed to the slight Ide. "How have you been?"

[Ide Amaya]

The weasel on her shoulder expertly shifts its weight as Amaya bows in return, "Asako-sama," and she sounds pleased to see the Phoenix. "I have been well, but it has been quite a number of days between our first meeting and seeing you in the dojo this morning. Have you enjoyed the ma-ai thus far?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki sighed, a little forlornly. "Mostly, I suppose." She fidgeted a bit, then noticed the weasel and started a bit. "Ahh... Ide-san." She glanced carefully between the woman and the weasel. "I don't wish to alarm you... but there is a weasel on your shoulder."

[Ide Amaya]

She smiled, "yes, this is Satsujin, he adopted me after the Egg Hunting debacle. I've just been trying to teach him to respond to commands. I'm hoping that if he knows a few tricks, people won't be so wary of him."

She looks at Yuki carefully, "but you are troubled. Sit with me, and tell me what is the matter. I only have water to drink, but you're welcome to it all the same."

[Asako Yuki]

"Oh?" Yuki peered a little more closely at the weasel. She didn't have the fear many of the other contestants likely had, as she'd been able to avoid the rampaging Mustela. "Maybe once most of the guests have left you won't see so many scared people. I think most still remember the eggs too well." She giggled a little.

Yuki shook her head. "Just the miai, and some of your clanmates. It's nothing to worry about Ide-san." She smiled.

[Ide Amaya]

Innocently, "have my Clan-brothers been giving you trouble?" She is quite unaware of the relationship between Butaj and Yuki, and therefore unaware of the effect the rumours may have been having on the elegant Phoenix. "I'm a good listener, Asako-sama, you may tell me anything."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki sighed. "Hai, maybe. Well, I'm not sure it's his fault. It's all these rumors."

[Ide Amaya]

Her expression becomes more solemn at mention of the salacious gossip about the Unicorn's nocturnal activities. "In general, or has someone been mentioned that specifically concerns you?" she asks carefully. "You do not need to answer, if you prefer."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki shook her head. "It's fine, I talked with him. I just.." She sighed. "Need to collect more points than the rest of those that want him if I want him for myself."

[Ide Amaya]

This makes her smile, "ah, points, such troublesome little things, they bite like sand midges, don't they? I was at the dojo this morning, Should you go into the rest of this ma-ai boldly, I think you will have nothing to fear. The Moto events, at least, should favour you."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki blushed a bit at that. "I hope so. And I hope not to have to deal with Seppun-sama again." She shook her head in distress.

[Ide Amaya]

A raised eyebrow, "the Imperial you were speaking to this morning? Did he say something to give offense?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki sighed a little. "Seppun-sama has not enjoyed his time here in Unicorn lands and wishes to have others share in his disappointment."

[Ide Amaya]

With a sad twist to her mouth, "that is most disappointing. I have come to realise something of just how far our little village must be from what he is accustomed to, but I think I might have expected better from someone of his background." She gives a tiny derisive snort, "pay him no mind, Asako-sama, think instead on Unicorn men. And give no mind to silly little talk that gets whispered behind fans, either."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled a little at the first, but it quickly enough died. "It wasn't silly little talk though. Not all of it." She paused for a moment. "I don't blame him!" She quickly added. "These are all new rules for all of you, and it's not like we were committed to anything..." She sighed a little.
