[Ide Amaya]

Having seen so many lives lost on the difficult journey to Rokugan, Amaya is dismayed at the thought of the Lion going to war year after year. "What does the Lion gain from these wars? Such a tragic waste of life," she thinks of the things Nintoku confessed to her, "not to mention the well-being of those who are wounded, who might have been better off had they not survived."

Fukawa shook her head. She too opposed this sort of waste of life.

"Glory mostly." she offers, obviously not too excited about gaining glory this way. "Land sometimes. Sometimes honor if a slight upon it was what triggered it. And, of course, practice for the next war."
