Dinner Take II (D6, EE)

[Bayushi Suteichi]

His answer was without preamble or delay. He looked Kogo in the eye, his tone was almost a proud one as he answered.

"Yes, she is."

[Matsu Kogo]

Her smile fills her face, a tad too broad, but forgivable. "I am beyond glad for you. What drew you to her? What is she like? I wish to know...well not everything, but what you are willing to share."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"You're awfully excited. A bit much are we?"

[Matsu Kogo]

Her smiles lower a tinch, but it remains in her eyes. "It may be, but I do not find myself caring a terrible amount. The potential happiness of a close friend is reason enough for me." Her smile changes to a bit of a smirk. "Plus, the rumors are around the camp. I would rather know what she is like from your mouth instead of the wandering words of the miai."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Ha! Kogo-san, I am grateful and honored to have Benten's blessing. I don't like going around and flaunting it. That would be disrespectful. After all honorable samurai do not listen to rumors. Since when do you care about the words of peasants?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles. "Oh, not at all honorable Bayushi-san. I would not dream of listening to such base disclosures. But if one were say a scout in a new territory, one might take the "lay of the land" and try to determine the players. It is merely good tactics." She looks at him. "You know you need tell me nothing if you choose. I am merely glad to see you so....content."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Most appreciative Kogo-san. You are a good friend."

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles. "As are you, Suteichi-san." She pauses for a moment. "How has your day progressed otherwise?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Yes it has. I have had a productive day. Even got a lite workout in ."

[Matsu Kogo]

She nods. "That sounds pleasant. A workout can be a lovely addition to a day." She walks with him for a moment. "I had high hopes for the event today, but was less successful than I hoped. I hope there are others like it, that I may have another chance to change my standings."

[Otaku Imane]

Yuuru nodded and smiled his normal handsome smile, "Absolutely no problem Otaku-sama. Had I been a bit more aware of the time I'd have paid my respects to your kinsman as well. As is I was able to try some of the food here and found it was of high enough quality for a woman of your poise and status. So it wasn't a total loss."

He motioned for them to go inside, "I'm happy that you were kind enough to come spend some time with me at all. Thank you very much."

She entered the building and walked over to the take that had been prepared. "I look forward to learning more about you Soshi-san. Your performance this afternoon was impressive." Imane had not expected him to do so well in the Lancing condition.

"Have you met with many of my cousins yet Soshi-san? The miai is already reaching its halfway point and there are many candidates that I have yet to meet."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded graciously at her compliment. "I was fortunate enough to have been blessed with a steed that knew what to do with little prompting. But I was still nothing compare to you and your steed, you two were quite impressive."

He took his seat and continued, "I have been fortunate to meet a few. You are an interesting people with much to offer the empire."

[Shinjo Akil]

Akil had entered the restaurant not long after Imane and Yuuru, bowing to the two of them before finding a place out of the way to get food.

[Otaku Imane]

Imane rose when Shinjo Akil entered and offered him a bow. "Ohayuou Shinjo-san, thank you for joining us."

She returned her attention to Yuuru. "Shinjo-san kindly agreed to act as my chaperone this evening, have you met him yet Soshi-san? He is a hero of the Unicorn, though I do not believe he has yet wrestled a snakeman."

A smile crossed her lips and she returned to their previous thread of conversation.

"It is kind of you to say that my people I have much to offer. I believe this as well. As for today's contest Almatar will be pleased to know she is so highly praised, but I maintain that your performance impressed me today Soshi-san. After all, when last we met I mentioned that I enjoyed cavalry charges. It would have been unfortunate if I had failed to show my skills, whereas you had not done this before today."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

She nods. "That sounds pleasant. A workout can be a lovely addition to a day." She walks with him for a moment. "I had high hopes for the event today, but was less successful than I hoped. I hope there are others like it, that I may have another chance to change my standings."

"I had hoped the same for myself. Falling off of a horse is a pain I rather not endure again. Still, there are other ways to better your chances."
