Parlay With Darkness (Day 6, Late Night)

[Ide Samai]

"That is a satisfactory answer Moto-san, no?" She bobbed her head again at Kiyoshi. Again. She was thanking far too much to a follower of the Traitor!!

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"He's made it clear, that he won't divulge the information Khulun. It would be impossible to outwith a creature who's trade is deceit and betrayal. Let's just head back and discuss this among ourselves in the village." He turns once more and begins the way back.

[Kiyoshi]

"I actually lied far more as an Imperial," Kiyoshi muses, more to himself than to anyone present.

[Moshi Asakiko]

The Tiny Moshi just arrived at the scene with her bag of scrolls. She didn't address anyone particularly as she waited in anticipation of what will become of this dark ominous night.

"You remember my birds, yes?" He pantomimes pinching his fingers together and pulling. "One of them plucked the trinket from Shinjo's obi and swallowed it. The darkness pays little attention to animals."

Khulun nods and continues to give the enemy the Courtesy he has shown them and says, “I see so it was your followers that snatched the relic and then brought it to us. You took a risk in coming here, there was no way to know it would fall into the hands of the Unicorn, it could have been anyone.”

“You are right there is much the other Clans hide from us, much we must learn; you are the Onyx Champion it is said you are the Ninth’s champion. How did this title come to you, what gives you the right to speak on behalf of the Ninth Brother.”

“The more we know of you the better armed we are when we return to our lords.”

She ignores the prudence of her allies, they could leave if they wished. If this monster had wanted to kill them she was sure there was little they could have done to thwart it.

[Ide Samai]

"Khulun!" Samai was short of tempter and patience now. She glared at the others to leave already. "Stop pestering him. We will leave. You included. Your curiosity does not need to be indulged."

[Moto Khulun]

She glances at Samai and says, “You have come into this only at my behest, cousin, you do not command me, if you seek to run then do so. I am giving the Onyx Champion the Courtesy he has given us, nothing more and nothing less.”

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

The arguing catches his attention and he turns back. "Samai. Take Yuzuki-san back. I will remain with Khulun for as long as it takes for her curiosity to sated. You are arguing with a Moto."

"Ano, there's no need to rush on my account."

She paused, oblivious to the fact the Unicorn probably didn't want any non-unicorn witnesses to all this.

"Though I do think everyone should probably leave."

A sigh escaped.... this was the disciplined army of the Unicorn?!

"Mantis-san, thank you for your Courtesy. Iuchi-san, Shinjo-san, please take her away. Khulun, this is your last question, and then we leave."

She bowed her head towards Kiyoshi. "Gomen for her unruliness. You must be a busy man."

[Bayushi Hotaru]

Hotaru was mildly surprised by the Moshi's appearance to the scene but returned her attention to the scene in question. A part of her wondered if she could wander in between the group and ask if she could hitch a ride with them on their horses. They were all going the same direction, anyway. However, that would far too casual of a request to make now and it would ruin the mood.

With the continued questions from the Moto, I gathered that Kiyoshi at least found a hook for what he was selling. Bodies of the dead?! Shut the front screen! May as well offer him your blade and turn your back...

[Moshi Asakiko]

The tiny Moshi looked around as some people departed she stood tall even for her short stature. She called. "Are we not all samurai of Rokugan? We follow bushido and it tells us that we shall be courteous, not just for our allies but our enemies as well. Perhaps our enemies stories are full of lies and deceit but we had the courtesy to hear it." She nodded to Khunlun. "We were gathered here for a reason and only the fortunes know why. We should listen to this man's words as we should know that light triumph over dark. If we leave without hearing his message then dark shall overpower our days wondering what ifs... No! We are samurai... and we should listen what the fortunes have told us to follow in this path." She looked up to Kyoshi. "We shall listen to your story as courtesy tells us to be respectful to our enemies. You once were a samurai, were you not?" She nodded once again.

Is there anyone in the camp who is not aware of the secret meeting with the followers of the Ninth?!

Samai recalled the stories her grandmother told about dealing with Ashalan, about their mysterious and capricious ways... yeah right, they had nothing on good old regular people. Annoying, rudderless people who will not behave.

"Moshi-san, you were not invited, nor is this a vote." She said firmly. Fortunes here and there, they got the invite from an agent of the Ninth.

"We are leaving. Moto-san, I assume your uncle sent you here for a reason... and that reason was to get married, not to bed your cousin, insult the Empire or ask the Onyx Champion personal details. Courtesy applies. At. All. Times." Samai tried to put some measure in her voice, hopefully cowing them once and for all. Her patience was non-existent now.
