No promises, no demands. (Day 5 EM Fukawa's Yurt)

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa dips her head a bit at that comment.

"Ah true, motion must be wedded to purpose to achieve something." she agrees. "Have you met many of the Unicorn samurai-ko yet?"

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Several." He admitted with a nod. "Three of the Otaku, a Shinjo and two Iuchi."

"I've noticed a few others around, but I've not had a chance to speak with them as of yet."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa considered the badger.

"Would the Shinjo be Shinjo Liu Yue, perchance?" she asks out of idle curiosity.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Yes, we spoke for a while some days ago." He admitted easily. "She seemed a agreeable sort, but it seemed like she might want me to pursue her sister."

"She kept bringing her up."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa sipped her tea.

"Of course, she might have just been shy about you, Ichiro-san." Fukawa poses. "It's not terribly uncommon at miai."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"That's true." He mused, turning the tea cup a half turn in his hand before taking a sip.

"Though you have me curious now. Is there a particular reason your asking?"

[Doji Fukawa]

There is a small shrug from the Doji.

"Well, Ichiro-san, I have heard there is a lot of interest in those attending this miai in finding a match with her." she admitted. "I was wondering if there was any truth to the rumors."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Oh." He paused thoughtfully. "In my case st least she wouldn't be the first choice."

"She was a pleasant enough girl, but I've found I enjoy the company so some of the other ladies more. Perhaps the rumors have something to do with her offer of horsemanship lessons?"

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa nodded.

"Perhaps." she offered. "Ichiro-san sounds as if this miai has been quite the success for his interests."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

He turned his tea cup half a turn in his hand before taking another sip. "I don't know if I would go that far,"

"I've merely met a few women that I would like to get to know better. I'm sure Doji-sama has enjoyed more success then I."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa dips her head.


"Perhaps I have." she replies. "Have you any thought on what the upcoming challenges might be, Ichiro-san?"

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Some." He admitted. "I think one will involve riding horses, but that's the most obvious. Perhaps another will deal with the caring of animals?" That one didn't seem to likely though. "I'd think there would be some sort of weapons demonstration as well."

"Other then that? I don't know." He would like to though.

[Doji Fukawa]

"That would make sense." she says, taking a sip of her tea. "The Unicorn candidates need a way to prove their own worth to their clan as well. None of the clans besides them have a cavalry tradition like they do, so they ought to dominate in those events."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"I'd think so." He agreed thoughtfully. "Though I find myself curious about what events the Iuchi might present. If it would be something similar to what I'd expect of the other great clans or not."

[Doji Fukawa]

Fukawa thought about that for a moment.

"Their family with the shuegenja tradition?" she clarified for her own sake.

She paused for a moment, before an idea came to her.


'Perhaps they will ask you to shatter a boulder the size of a horse." she suggested.
