[Day 4: EM] Prayers to Lady Sun

[Isawa Nonin]

"Indeed! I had feared that they might offend your sensibilities, Moshi-san," says Nonin. "No offense intended, but your family has a reputation for being rather traditional."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Yes, we are and the cultural shock is quite interesting yet I still remember getting sick from their food." The Moshi sighed. "They are still part of those guided by Shinjo no Kami and followed what Lord Hantei ue asked of them. They seem honorable enough."

[Isawa Nonin]

"Agreed," nods the Phoenix, "they are working very hard to fit in. It must been even more difficult for them to adjust to our ways, which have become rather set in stone, then for us."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Then it is our duty to teach them our ways and guide them with the aid of the fortunes." Asakiko smiled. "It might take some time but we might be able to assimilate some of their culture."

[Isawa Nonin]

The Phoenix nods. "I will have to study their ways more but they seem to have some interesting ideas and many useful practical techniques."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"I wonder if they still have the same theological views as we do or they have changed their views." She shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't asked them. Have you asked?"

[Isawa Nonin]

"No," he said, that thought having not occurred to him. "I have been discussing with one of the Iuchi about how their talismanic magic works. You aid could be quite useful in such, if your are free and have interest, Moshi-san."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Sounds intriguing Isawa sama. What is this talisman magic that you speak of? Like ofuda scrolls? or Omikuji?" The woman was interested.

[Isawa Nonin]

"The Iuchi learned a technique for, if I understand correctly, binding the elements into items using 'words of creation' which when released preform functions that mimic our prayers," said Nonin.

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Like nemuranai?" She was a bit confused.

[Isawa Nonin]

"No, the element is not awakened, just controlled as I understand," Nonin tries to clarify. "That is why I wished to experiment, to find out if this annoyed or harmed the kami."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"i see it seems quite interesting. When should we meet then? My best is when lady Amaterasu is still vigilant from the heavens."

[Isawa Nonin]

"It will depend on Iuchi-san's schedule," said Nonin. "We will coordinate via letter."

"Does Moshi-san have a preference in tea? I have several blends."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Something with a citrus flavor like tamaryokucha, if you don't mind." She gave a polite bow. "Excellent, I always read fortunes after my breakfast but I can make some arrangements."

[Isawa Nonin]

Nonin nods and sets the water to boil. "Among my favorites as well."

"We will get this scheduled then, I am most curious about how the foreign magic interacts with our own."
