Day 5 [EM] Doctor Who?! What?! (Suteichi's Yurt)

[Soshi Taira]

Taira shook his head.

"I've got all the herbs you'd find in this village, Bayushi-san. It is just a matter of finding out what, in particular, caused this reaction."

Taira knew they were frustrated.

"I know this isn't fun, but we're close. One or two more."

Taking the last towel, he prepared it, like the others, and handed it to Fei.

Number 4 does the thing.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei gave a firm nod when he gave his estimate, she could sit through this that much longer at least. With the next she took it just like the first three and started applying the powder, or lotion of sorts to her skin. Nearly instantly there was a suddenly cooling sensation against it and after a while both that and the itching seemed to fade.

"I.." she started, not quite sure right away. "I think that one might be working Soshi-san."

[Soshi Taira]

"Good."

He smiled.

"Then I will create a balm."

More jars fetched, now several herbs were placed in the mortar and pestle. More than that, he began to mix oil, water, and some sort of paste in another bowl.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"I will need a lot of it," she reminded, "Do you have enough for that Soshi-san?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Well done Soshi-san." Suteichi spoke. "Domo." Suteichi moved about the yurt straightening things. He had to deliver some troubling news to Liu Fei and waited for them to be alone. Keeping busy helped his impatience.

[Soshi Taira]

"I believe so, though you may want subsequent treatments, just to make sure it resolves swiftly."

Taira set to work, grinding, mixing, and prepping. The bowl was not huge, but when he was done, it was pretty well full of a pale, somewhat greasy paste.

"I am sure Bayushi-san can help you apply it, if you need." You'd rather he see you naked than me, I suspect...

Just apply it to the affected areas... and rub it in. Do so lightly, a thin application, make sure you spread it around, so you don't run out. You will not need a dense application for effective treatment."

His message given, he began to pack up.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"I am sure I will be able to manage on my own," she said, with all the weight to her tone that implied how she wouldn't have anyone be applying some odd medicine to her body for her.

With a little pause after that, as Taira began to pack she simply added, "Thank you, Soshi-san."

[Soshi Taira]

"As you say, Shinjo-san."

Finishing packing, he rose, slipping his satchel onto his shoulder.

"If there is nothing else, I will intrude no longer."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Suteichi almost chuckled out loud when she spoke. He knew she would respond that. He removed the amused smirk from his face and turned around.

"Thank you again Soshi-san. I will remember to try to keep office hours." he quipped then bowed to him as he left.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

With a glance to the paste she was left with, and then up to Taira as he would move to leave. Offering the man a bow.

[Soshi Taira]

Taira offered a wry smile.

"My hours are whenever there is need. That is part of the job. I wish you a quick recovery, Shinjo-san. Best of luck with your day, minna."

Then he bowed, and departed.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Didn't want me rubbing on you?!...I'm so hurt." he said rolling his eyes and chuckling.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"You will be hurt if you suggest I change my mind," she said with a knowing look and an amused smile.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Hmmm!" He started with a wry smile, taking his mask off. He approached her and stood close. "Don't tempt me. I'm quite convincing and once I get started, you won't want me to stop." he blew a kiss at her. He then took on a more serious look.

"I need speak with you seriously about something and I rather you hear it from me and not from some rumor mill. It's about last night during the storm."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei wore an interesting smile at his boast, but that settled as he went on into the more serious topic. Whatever it was, the rumor mill being pertinent was usually never a good thing. Sitting so that she was fully at attention she looked to him, "Alright Suteichi-san, what is it?"
