Hideo finally spoke up.

"Perhaps communing with the kami here might bring some answers?"

[Yogo Yuichi]

Yuichi nodded to Saksaha just before the whole crowd arrived. '' Well it seems that this place clearly has some sort of otherworldly attraction curse... '' He says ironically.

The Yogo didn't like large groups of people. He bows to Saksaha '' Hopefully this whole thing is just rumours. Have a nice day Iuchi-san. If you need some assistance, i will be in the nearby. May the kami bless your path.''

I can't ask her about meishodo with an army behind listening... He thought

Yuichi then turn to speak to his clanmate. '' Soshi-san'' Yuichi bows. '' I don't know, it seems that something happened yesterday. Rumours say that this place has some sort of connection with the death of some sort of spirit. I came here to investigate but for now I don't feel anything unusual. '' He shrugs.

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "Did you talk with the kami?"

[Shiba Kaizen]

Likewise Kaizen spoke to the Iuchi priestess, "I would also offer myself as yojimbo if such is required Iuchi-san." She had asked previously about his Family's particular skills, Kaizen hoped it would not be necessary to display them, yet here he was and if there was a need that was that.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"If nothing else, we can take a closer look." Kemuri added. "If it's dangerous, we should determine the nature of the danger."

[Suki]

In the midst of the crowd, Suki made her way out to the crater. For once, the monk wore shoes, and carried herself with a demeanor that was a bit more serious. She carried a bowl of rice; an offering to the Fortunes. Her determined gaze suggested her intent- she would pray at or near this otherworldly place for the protection of the Fortunes against further incursions and attacks. Whether or not the Gods would intervene was unknown. One thing was certain though- they'd do nothing if she didn't at least try.

[Yogo Yuichi]

He nodded, "Did you talk with the kami?"

'' I was just about to do that...'' Yuichi replies with a smirk. Then he walks towards the edge of the new lake, away from the crowd, and sat in seiza. He needed some space and silence so as to commune with the kami.

He grabs a small white-ish round object in one of his hands and started muttering the basic prayers that every shugenja in the empire knows. The white-ish round object in his hand began to shine as he succesfully casted the spell.

He tried to sense if there was some earth kami in the nearby.

[Suki]

With the abundance of samurai, Suki hovered at the periphery, determined but unobtrusive. Seeing the Yogo interacting with the kami she nodded in approval, glad to see someone else taking a spiritual approach to the task. Any samurai that looked her way received a respectful bow, Suki carefully cupping the rice bowl in front of her.

Hideo moved closer, giving polite bows but not interrupting the Yogo calling upon the kami.

[Fairuz Kaiya]

First, Oni, now... what is going on here? How many different problems have the Unicorn brought with them?

Wow, there's quite a crowd here..

Approaching closer, Kaiya was about to open his mouth in greeting but saw the Yogo in prayer, and just offered a quick silent bow instead as his eyes searched around. Answers would come on their own, or otherwise wait a moment.

[Shimizu Ryori]

"It appears Iuchi - san you are well guarded this morning, you seem quite popular" he begins looking around the edges of the crater and surrounding area for anything his hunting or natural/theological/mystical lores might tell him.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

Meanwhile, Kemuri had moved along the edge of the crater, studying the water carefully, looking for anything that might be beneath the surface.

[Yogo Yuichi]

Yuichi could feel the elemental energy of earth. He sensed the earth kami all around him. That was good.

He continues to concentrate and began chanting the prayers to commune with them. He went into a deep harmonic resonance with the elemental spirits , trying to bring forth one of them so as to ask some questions. Entering into the void, Yuichi's eyes began to shine.

The rocks around the edge of the crater grumble and rumble and grumble some more.

[Iuchi Saksaha]

Saksaha notes what Yuichi is up to and crouches on the tumbled ground to watch closely. She's only seen this done once before and it's still fascinating.
