Dinner and Sake Ima(Now)... ne? (D5, EE)

[Soshi Yuuru]

Yuuru arrived at the little inn and restaurant that evening at the appointed hour. He had sent off a letter to one of the women he had met in the past few days, but hadn't received a reply.

He hoped he wouldn't be having dinner by himself. He asked for a place for two and instructed the owner to invite the woman back to his spot should she arrive. The owner brought warm sake and tea for the table as Yuuru waited.

[Doji Ameka]

Ameka needed a spot to relax and catch her breath somewhere outside the yurt. It needed time to air out and for her tools to be cleaned. So she found herself making her way to a small place that was at least serving food. Her eyes alighted on one of the other participates at a place clearly set for two people... probably expecting someone. The thought crossed her mind to just leave him alone, but... Well, it wouldn't hurt to chat and get to know someone else here while he waited.

She headed over to the table and bowed. "Good evening, Soshi-san. My apologies if I am interrupting, but I haven't had a chance to meet many others here, yet. I thought I might come by and say hello."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled and nodded a greeting, "Not a problem Doji-san... I'm starting to wonder if my guest is going to arrive at all. Would you care to join me?"

[Doji Ameka]

She smiled in return, nodded. "That sounds lovely, thank you. I am Doji Ameka, by the way, of the Kakita Artisan School. It's a pleasure to meet you," she introduced before taking a seat. "If your guest shows up, I'll be happy to move, but it's nice to have some company in the mean time, ne?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He nodded, "It is nice."

He then bowed, "I'm Soshi Yuuru. Of the Soshi magistrate school. It's a pleasure to meet you. Would you care for something to drink?"

[Doji Ameka]

"Please... whatever you're already having is fine," she agrees. "How has the event been for you thus far?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He poured her some tea, "It's been interesting so far. Lots of new experiences. How about yourself?"

[Doji Ameka]

"Same here. A few surprises, certainly," she agrees with a smile.

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled, "Have you found a handsome young Unicorn man to carry you off into the sunset on horseback yet?"

[Doji Ameka]

"Heh... Sadly, not just yet," she says with a rueful smile before taking a sip of tea. After a satisfied sigh at the hot beverage, she says, "I don't think the judges are all that impressed with me at the moment, anyway. What about yourself? Any beautiful Unicorn maidens eagerly waiting to be paired with you?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He shook his head, "Unfortunately not. Competition is pretty stiff it seems."

[Doji Ameka]

She doesn't smirk at that. She doesn't. It takes an effort of will. Instead, she nods seriously. "So it seems. I admit, I'm a little surprised. Not that there's a lot of competition, but that you don't have girls breaking down your door."

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "You are much too kind Doji-san."

He smiled handsomely, "Your kindness isn't unwanted, but you are far too kind. A man will get embarrassed if a woman of your beauty makes too many comments like that."

[Doji Ameka]

"Hmm... Eye of the beholder, perhaps? I suppose this is one of those conflicts of Bushido, ne? Between honesty and courtesy. I wouldn't want you to be embarrassed," she says, feigning deep thought. Finally, she seems to settle on something, take a drink, and say, "I can only honestly assess, though, that the reason for girls aren't breaking down your door is that we don't have doors at the moment." She nods and smiles with the joke.

He chuckled, "You may have a point there."

He then took a sip of his tea as well, "And are you confronted with the same problem?"
