You can purchase things right up until game start, and any money left over will be coins on your person.

I think they meant, do we need to worry mechanically about currency conversion from whatever strange gaijin coins Unicorn had collected in the outside world?

(I figured not, because gold is gold and silver is silver, and L5R currency is enough of a pain already )

Should the Status of two characters be equal, the character with the lower number of Courtship Points will marry into the Clan of their spouse.
