"Three centuries."

[Usagi Tomoe]

She nodded solemnly. Of course she knew better than to say that it was most likely Shinjo had met her end, like many of her siblings.

"... you should speak with your cousin, Moto Khulun, for she was recently given a netsuke that once belonged to Lady Shinjo. One that was gifted to her by Lady Doji, that she promised to always carry with her. It came to Moto-san by a messenger of darkness."

"I do not think that it could be a coincidence."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

His expression grew dark. "I will speak to her."

After a moment of silence, he smiled again. "I chose my name in hopes of what I might become. I'm still working on that."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Our chosen names can give us the inspiration we need to go forward, but in the end we must forge our own destiny, neh?" the Hare offered with a kind smile and packed up her medical equipment.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Hai." he nodded. "We are what we make of ourselves. May our heroes guide us to that end."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I look forward to hearing more about the legend of this Shinjo Kemuri," she said with a coy smile. "It was nice to talk, since we didn't get to do that the other night."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I've enjoyed this very much." he agreed. "I hope we have more opportunities to talk, without open wounds."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"So do I, Shinjo-san. But feel free to seek me out again if the weasels have come back for another round of furry retribution," she grinned.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I will, if I can walk." he laughed. "Come find me, if there is anything I can do for you."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Of course," Tomoe nodded and with her medicine kit packed up, she gave a respectful bow to the Marta. "Carry the Fortunes, Shinjo-san. I look forward to speaking with you more in the future."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Thank you again, Usagi-sama." He bowed. "Carry the Fortunes."

[Usagi Tomoe]

With a cheerful smile, the Hare departed to get everything ready for the picnic she had promised later.
