Laundry Day! (Day 4, EE, Kemuri's, Open)

[Matsu Yurio]

"I ended up with none at all. I think the entire animal population of the field was in league against me. Except the weasels. I had no . . . problems with them."

Another murmur of thanks accompanied accepting the chopsticks. Then he set about eating, his stomach reminding him that he actually missed the evening meal with his wanderings.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"They seemed to be as interested in eating me as they were in eating they eggs." he chuckled. "If it weren't for my armor, they might has succeeded. Still made a bloody mess, though."

[Matsu Yurio]

"Really? A few came near me but I was in no mood to suffer any fury critter delaying me any further."

He looked at the garments Kemuri had been cleaning.

Weasels did that? Pathetic things had no chance with me!

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"I heard that some had it worse than I did." He looked over at his laundry. "They were pretty vicious. I'm glad they didn't harm you."

[Matsu Yurio]

No, but I hurt them a lot . . .

"Stupid critters, they should know better than to dare to attack samurai."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Hai, they should." he agreed. "Other than this morning, I hope your time here has been enjoyable."

[Matsu Yurio]

"I did not expect to find that the Unicorn are so enthused with wrestling. I had a very enjoyable match with Moto Butaj-san yesterday."

Drenched kitteh managed a happy smile.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Oh? I'm sorry I missed that." he smiled. "I recall you requesting the match. I had hoped to see it. It went well, then?"

[Matsu Yurio]

"Moto-san was the victor three points to one but is was such a fun match."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"Good." he nodded. "You're a grappler, then?"

[Matsu Yurio]

"One of my combat techniques is such, but I lend more to speed and throws than actual grappling. Most opponents are larger so I must move fast to avoid their reach."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"That makes sense." he nodded again. "I've always been a ranged combatant. I know some swordplay, but nothing unarmed."

[Matsu Yurio]

"Oh I thought you were a wrestler as well. From the way you were promoting things a few days ago."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"It's fun to watch." he shrugged. "I'd be willing to try, but I have no training in it. My time was spent with riding, hunting, archery and history."

[Matsu Yurio]

"I'd be happy to show you my style. Any time you like."

He paused to shovel some rice and stew in his mouth.
