"Well, I think you'll find many Unicorn are not quite so bashful. If there's a problem we like to solve it as quickly as possible. Dancing around words and phrases has it's time and place, but that time isn't when safety and security are a concern."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I have come to learn that is the case, yes," she said and put aside her wet clothes.

"Has it always been like that in your travels?"

"For the most part yes. Certainly is with me. I'd rather people know what I mean than have them guessing at it. Makes things much easier," he replies.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"You might find it difficult to adapt to other parts of the Empire... talking in simple straightforward tones is not really the norm, especially not in the courts. I mean, the Crab and many Minor Clans tend to be fairly straightforward in their ways, but many other clans tend to be a bit more roundabout in their way of talking and handling things."

The Hare was drying herself off as she spoke.

"Of that I have no doubt. But I'm getting a fairly good lesson in etiquette from my interactions here. More than a few have helped me with understanding. Either through teaching or my observations. It's been an enlightening experience thus far," he says, wondering about what's going on behind the curtain but not being so barbaric to peek.

The long hair was certainly the biggest challenge to dry, and Tomoe briefly considered cutting it all off as she began to pat it dry. But she knew how upset her father would be if she did that...

"What would you say is the most surprising things you have learned during the miai, if I may ask?"

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Nothing overly surprising really. It's been a mostly pleasant experience and many of my mistakes were things that had been mentioned to be careful of. I guess, maybe, the level of understanding that is being shown? That is appreciated."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Really?" she sounded a little surprised. "I suppose that is good to hear. I was worried some of the other clans would try to assert their dominance over you and be a little mean, but I'm glad to hear that is not the case... kami-stupid long hair..."

She worked some more on the hair, trying to get it as dry as she could on short time.

"You're fussing over your hair? Just put the kimono on and I'll help you with it while we drink and chat. I've helped my mother with drying her hair frequently. It's not as long as yours, but it's decently long," he offers her.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I-if you insist," she murmured a little shyly and started to dress herself. "I just didn't want my wet hair to get the dry clothes soaked too..."

"It shouldn't be too bad, and I'm not worried about them getting wet," he says. "That one small spot will dry before I wear it again."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe dressed hastily. "Thank you, again... it's very kind of you to do this for me."

The kimono were a bit big for her in size, though less roomy in other places. At least nothing looked indecent. "So, uhm... you tried your hand at the egg-hunt today?"

"Yes, though I didn't excel or anything," he replies. "I'm more adept at wilderness survival and hunting."

He holds the cup up for Tomoe, and pats the spot beside him so that he can start working on drying her hair.

[Usagi Tomoe]

Dressed in something more dry, Tomoe joined Monkhbataar at the offered seat, and accepted the cup. "Not hunting for eggs and avoiding weasels then, neh?" she said with a small chuckle.

"I know how to hunt too, or to survive in the wilds, but searching around for eggs is something I've never done before."

"Oh, they scratched me a bit. I just didn't do overly well." He took a drink before setting the cup down, taking the cloth that she had been using to dry off and using it to continue working on her hair. True to what he said, he seemed like he'd done this before and was careful not to pull it or tie it in knots.
