Liu Yue batters the dragon's flank. It was difficult to tell in the rain and the dark, but it seemed as if some of the liquid running off the beast's side was blood.

Blood drips from Tianma's flanks but the mystical steed does not relent. Still she continues to thrash against the serpent, bucking, kicking, biting. Anything to end it and stand next to her fallen rider.

With one last, desperate act, Hiroji raises the axe high over his head, lets out a ringing battle cry, and brings the axe down on the scales of the monster.

The axe cuts deep into the orochi's hide, and with one final bellow of pain and anger, the beast collapses to the ground, still conscious, but too wounded to continue fighting.

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Tianma continues to buck and kick as the beast falls. When it stops moving the horse runs to Chi-Pu's body, nuzzling her corpse. The steed shudders and then lays down, wrapping its body around and over Chi-Pu to keep the rain off her.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

"It's... It's over... Who needs help?!" Hiroji pulls the axe out of the Orochi's side and looks around him at the destruction caused by their battle.

[Yuzuki]

Yuzuki should be dead.

Nobody could survive something like that, not after what she'd already been through.

Yet somehow she was still alive. Unconscious. But alive.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue dropped her tetsubo onto the ground and dismounted her horse. She rushed over to the fallen Otaku and took out her medical kit. "Taira-dono! Is there anything we can do?!"

Tianma lets out a harsh whinny and begins to stand, fire in her eyes as anyone approaches her and Chi-Pu

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Seeing the state the otaku is in, Hiroji knows better than to check on her. Instead he rushes to the Mantis to inspect her. Seeing the slow movement of her chest that indicated breathing Hiroji crouched next to her and asked in a loud and clear voice. "Hey, are you alive?"

[Togashi Udo]

Udo stares for a moment, and then comes back to himself. He also rushes to the Mantis, to see if he can help.

[Yuzuki]

Being unconscious, Yuzuki responded by not responding and generally remaining unconscious as is customary for unconscious people.

Yue stood there, the rain going down her face. She glanced past the horse at Chi-Pu and then back to the horse. "Gomennasai." She gave Tianma a deep bow and then turned heel. Her attention then went to the orochi. "Matte, matte! That creature is still alive!"
