(Day 4, EM) Before the Steppe Gets Wet (Open, Riders!)

[Moto Butaj]

It is the time for the man and his steed! Both have slept well and now want to blow off some steam. Butaj rides out on Huludai ululating, leading them deeper into the steppe. The air is humid but refreshing.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Gokiburi charged out into the western fields with his rider in tow. Liu Fei was enjoying herself, if not as noticeably as the other rider out in the fields. It was nice to have a break from the heat they had been experiencing the few days.

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj, being Butaj, feels like showing off! He pushes him up the saddle swinging his legs back, then curls them forth into a sit-up on the saddle, straightens standing on it in full gallop, waves to Fei with a grin than flops back into being astride before he will lose balance!

There was another Shinjo on the field, waiting at the edge of the village for someone. He sat atop Meushi, leaned over and petting her neck.

[Usagi Tsukimi]

Tsukimi arrived, a smile crossing her face as she closed in on Monkhbaatar, "Good morning, Shinjo-san. And steed." She eyed the man, and then his horse. drawing closer.

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"She's Meushi," he says signaling to Tsukimi that she's free to come closer. "It's a pleasure to see you Tsukimi-san."

He holds Meushi steady so that the Hare can meet her.

[Usagi Tsukimi]

Taking the bait, Tsukimi steps up, and holds out a hand for the horse to sniff like a dog would, and furrows her brow as she regards the lines of the large creature. "She won't bite me if she doesn't like me?" Tsukimi gives a nervous chuckle as she looks back up to the rider. "She's beautiful."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Seeing Butajs little show, Liu Fei decided to give one of her own. Though hers was a little more of a practical nature, causing Gokiburi to do a odd trot like maneuver until he built up enough power in his hind legs and Liu Fei gave a little "Hyah!" to spur Gokiburi forward. Going into full gallop from practically a stopped position. Speeding out over the fields.

Horsemanship: 21 vs 10, Passed.

Butaj laughs and speeds up Huludai for a race!

"She won't bite you, I promise," he says with a smirk. "She's very friendly. And I'm sure she appreciates your compliment. Thank you."

[Usagi Tsukimi]

She watches the other horses in the field, and then hesitantly places a hand on Meushi. "Good girl. There there."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

Meushi seems content to let Tsukimi pet her. "You seem to be feeling much better. I'm glad for that."

[Usagi Tsukimi]

"I am, very much so, thank you. Each day is a new day, and I am steering clear of that... cheese. It disagrees with me, and I will not antagonize it further." She smiles up at him.
"You seem in chipper spirits."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Of course I am. I get to spend the morning with you Tuskimi-san," he says with a wink. "So, are you ready for this?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Butaj laughs and speeds up Huludai for a race!

(Blunt who rolls Horsemanship higher?)

Seeing Butaj join near her side Fei wears a grin and leans in lower, "Alright, let's show them what we've got."

With the encouragement, and feeling the other horses presence seemed energized by the idea of a race. Sprinting off in full gallop, full of excitement!
