"It has been interesting so far, spent today sequestered making sure the " he waves at Kyra " was out of her system, but I have been here a few days, yourself Bayushi sama, enjoying yourself?"

"I'm still enjoying my time here, of course," she said with a small laugh as she gave a passing glance at Kyra. "It's my first time outside of the Scorpion lands and it's quite the first journey abroad. Nothing the Unicorn have gone through, in comparison. Nevertheless, I get to meet a few samurai of different Clans, as well as the Unicorn samurai for the first time. I'm still trying to get used to how some of the Unicorn do things around here and I'm hoping to meet more of them, actually."

"I have not been outside of Lion lands much myself, unless you count here, but it was lion lands last time I was here. So I am not sure it counts" he kneels and reaches out Kyra coming over to nuzzle his hand " There are so many more experienced here then me"

[Bayushi Hotaru]

"There's bound to be some who are always more experienced than you and me, or they're just more privileged," she gave a small shrug of her shoulder as that was typically the case when came to samurai comprising each other.

"I wouldn't be worried about not having travelled as much! I imagine that can only change in the future with marriage. Marriage is a strong tradition that bring people together but also open up doors for opportunities to be had. That's especially the case if you find yourself married to a Unicorn spouse and you will be one of the growing few with ties to the Clan," she offered on an optimistic note.

"Have you found any of these Unicorns you find interesting Bayushi sama? I have only met a couple so far"

[Bayushi Hotaru]

"I had the opportunity to meet two from the Iuchi Family, Iuchi Sakusaha and Iuchi Dong-Ha, which were rather gracious people and very helpful. There's also Ide Amaya, who is a gentle and friendly member of her diplomatic family when she is able to give you attention. I don't doubt if she's already popular," She chuckled, looking to Kyra for a moment.

"Other than that...I think that's all of them so far. With Matsu-san at your side and your Clan's tie to the Unicorn, I would imagine that you are far more successful, Shimizu-san."

" I was escorted in by two Shitome of great honor, and I had dinner with Moto Khulun sama last night. There are a few others I have seen but not had a chance to speak to or meet. " he nods " other then that it seems like there are far more social visitors then Unicorn here. I will have to look up Amaya sama and Sakusha sama?"

[Bayushi Hotaru]

"Two Shitome and a Moto? The Lion are indeed popular, it seems!" She said, clearly impressed by who he met so far. "Did you find them entertaining? I had a conversation with a Seppun Hideo-sama this morning and we were curious how the Shitome value their powerful and majestic horses. It seems that knowing how to ride a horse is a prerequisite here. Have you been on a horse before?"

"Hai!" She nodded at his question. "I'd recommend speaking to them, if you're looking to speak to more Unicorn maidens. Please be sure to mention me in passing and I'm sure they'll be happy to talk to you!"

"The Moto is raw, honest, forthright, she values strength and valor above all else, she has little time for courtly frivolities" he thinks /yes thats a nice way to say it/ " Kitakuhime-sama is incredible, more samurai then any I have met short of the Akodo or Matsu Daimyo's " he nods "And Chi-pu-sama is a veteran warrior of great skill and a born leader who would make any man a treasured bride"

That pretty much does sound like a Moto! Hotaru readily nodded along to the Lion's description of his encounter with the Moto. It made her wonder if he was talking about the same one she had in mind but the description to fit anyone at the cap. "It sounds like to me that you have several viable prospects already!" She chuckled.

Looking to Kyra curiously once more, she asked. "So what happens to Kyra in the situation you need to marry into the Unicorn? You mentioned that she belongs in the Matsu family and I don't think the Unicorn have any lions that I know to also wed with Kyra. At least, ones that I know of!" She cued another small chuckle after her words, trying to keep the mood upbeat.

"There is a second beastmaster also here with her warcat, and it is possible others could be gifted through alliances. Kyra will go with me, depending on negotiations between daimyos her children may return to the Matsu for training or may not."

[Bayushi Hotaru]

She cautiously reached with her hand for Kyra, wondering if she thought in the same way as some of the cat that found their way on the temple steps. "How long have you been with Matsu-san? I imagine it would be very difficult for her to change places, even with another beastmaster."

"I was present when Kyra-chan was born, that is usually preferable if possible." he smiles and maybe signals, maybe not, but Kyra sniffs your hand then nuzzles it.

[Bayushi Hotaru]

She let out a small laugh when Kyra started nuzzling her hand and she allowed to do so, all while giving her small scritches on her head.

"In that case, she might be worthy of being your life-long friend and it would indeed be a shame if you two were separated! Perhaps Shimizu-san should consider an arrangement to bring a Unicorn bride to the Lion? I'd think that would be quite possible with your abilities and some persistence. If a Unicorn bride takes well after a horse, and other animals, I'm sure she'll get along with Matsu-san here."

"That would be preferrable yes, I do not know what I would do without Kyra-chan"
