Day 3 [LA] Manticore (Suteichi's Yurt: Closed)

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"She is bother to natural existence." Suteichi spat. He took a bit of the cookie and sipped tea before continuing.

"Apologies Matsu-san. Hearing her name alone is cause to be irritated."

[Matsu Kogo]

She nods her head. "It is all right Bayushi-san. It seems she has made an indelible impression on you and not a favorable one." She pauses. "Perhaps tomorrow night or tomorrow in the early morning, we could practice together. The only one who I know practices in the early morning is Matsu Nintoku."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

She looks at him from the side of her eyes. "Plans? Any sort of special plans? And I will ahve to attend this music event. I would not want to miss Shinjo Akil's playing."

"I look forward to it. I am sure Shinjo Akil excels at his craft." She looks at him and then sighs. "Fine, be mysterious, you do it so well. But do let me know if you need anything. I have not forgotten the favors you did me at the Akodo court and I would be grateful to repay my debts to you."

"Well, the training of the sword is a fine start." Suteichi said with a smirk. "I trust then you are doing well with your Suitors that my help is not needed?"

She pauses...."Ano....I would not say that. I mean, things seem to be going well for the most part. But...you know that I am...sometimes too trusting of another's words. I know that flirtations must be rampant throughout the camp and I suspect many are as skilled at you at hiding their feelings." She pauses. "If you hear anyone speak of me, would you tell me? Or if you hear any rumors? Or if you hear of any of my suitors having....more serious leanings towards anyone else. That way, it would not be a surprise."

She looks slightly embarrassed. "You know me too well Bayushi-san. That is likely exactly what I am doing. But they are also so open as well! It is startling and yet, for one such as me, it is...helpful."

She rubs the back of her head. "You are right, as usual Bayushi-san. But it is difficult to remember, when one is not sure if one will be the chooser. Plus, I shudder to think of what my mother would do if I returned empty handed."

Her face goes white. "You raise a valid point Bayushi-san. I suspect it would be preferable that I become a nomad with one of the Unicorn who prefers to wander than go home for a few years."
