Morning Music (Early Morning D 3)

[Shinjo Akil]

"Indeed. I have had the same experience," he nodded, "Though if what I have heard is correct, they would appreciate it if we did not sniff them," he chuckled a bit.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Sniff them?" she repeated. "That is rather odd. What happened, Akil-dono?"

[Shinjo Akil]

"Butaj apparently did so to Doji Fukawa, or at least that is how she tells it," he laughed a bit. "I am not truly all that surprised, but it is an amusing mental image."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"That is horrible!" she exclaimed. She clearly was not as amused by the notion as Akil. "I cannot imagine that she was pleased by that action!"

[Shinjo Akil]

"She was not. I admit, I was as incredulous then as you are now. Perhaps separation from the initial conversation has given the idea some levity. It is very ridiculous, after all."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue shook her head. "That is not good for our Clan's reputation, Akil-dono. I hope he has been reprimanded for his actions and taught to do better."

[Shinjo Akil]

"From my understanding, she explained the situation to him. She is incredibly patient, by my estimation."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I would not be so patient," she admitted. She cupped her chin and peered at the other Shinjo. "I assume this act has made her favorable to you, Akil-dono?" She let out a soft chuckle. "You may rest easy knowing that you will not make such a folly as sniffing her."

[Shinjo Akil]

"I think so?" He considered. "She seemed to be agreeable enough. But I would never assume that politeness is the same as attraction."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

The Shinjo woman smiled. "That is true, Akil-dono. I have faith in you." She cupped her chin, trying to find a way to put it politely. "You are a handsome man."

Well, his fault if he takes it as me flirting.

[Shinjo Akil]

He just smiled politely. "Thank you, Liu Yue-san. The compliment is appreciated."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"A hero too!" she exclaimed, more of a reminder for herself than him. "Do you have any amazing stories to tell me?" She looked at him with expecting eyes and a big smile.

[Shinjo Akil]

He simply smiled, then shook his head. "If I heard it right, Hanashi-san told the story much better than I ever could."

She gave a pout. "You must have more stories than one, Akil-dono!"
