Be daring like the other Usagi!

Sensing Kogo's hesitation, Tomoe saw what looked like an opening and like the (slightly) agile rabbit she was, manage to land an open-palmed strike at the beastmaster's shoulder.

The Hare quickly darted back in a defensive position, trying to recover from over-extending herself.

Kogo stays in attack stance, surprised by the Hare's agility, but also enjoying the fight. Seeing that the Hare has some possibilities, she doesn't hold back this time and lands a solid hit, though still pulling so it doesn't hurt as much.

Seeing no other choice but to keep herself moving as fast as she could manage, even at the cost of her own defenses, Tomoe managed to move in and land a solid hit in return on Kogo. The force of the impact is clearly a surprise to the Hare, as she hadn't meant to hit that hard, and it left her slow to back away against the Matsu' retaliation...

[Matsu Kogo]

The force of the Hare's attack surprised the Lion. So this bunny has some kick to her! Let's see what else she can do.

Kogo throws herself into her attack, enjoying the movement of body. She seems to be finally figuring this jiujitsu out a bit more. She lands the best hit of the whole day and one that would not scorn any learned jiujitsu specialist!

Tomoe staggered back a little from the impact of the blow, and knew she had to give it her all if she wanted to have a shot at landing the third hit she needed.

Retreating back as Kogo advanced, Tomoe turned and came with a surprise low kick. Even when she tried not to hurt her friend, she was greatly concerned when she heard that sound of her foot connecting to Kogo's side.

"Oh! I'm sorry!"

Kogo was impressed by the strength. "Do not apologize Usagi-san! It is great to have someone to spar against and learn with. How were you never trained before this?"

[Matsu Nintoku]

"Enough." the Matsu shouted visibly annoyed "Why are both of you throwing punches like a pair of drunk Hida.""

He sighed and moved towards them "Punching will only get you so far when you're fighting against someone. Specially if the other has a weapon." he cracked his neck "Your objective should always overpower the enemy through a grapple."

"Once an enemy is in your hold they can not use their weapons and if you're skilled enough they will never manage to break your hold."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Nintoku cut off her answer to Kogo before she could offer it, and the Hare bowed as she accepted the reprimand from their current sensei.

"I'm sorry, Matsu-sensei... I misunderstood," she readily took the blame, as she had hit Kogo first. The thought of grappling was... well, she knew Yuuru preferred to fight like that, but the jiujutsu she had observed from her fellow Hare were always more kicks and punches than to get too close to someone.

"Now please from start again and this time please do not try to pummel each other." he sighed "I do not want to be known as the person that had two of the bachelorettes injure themselves in practice."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo bows and takes up an attack stance. "Ready whenever you are, Usagi-san."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe bowed and took up her stance once more, determined to do right this time!

Again, the rabbit was the faster of the two and quickly grabbed onto Kogo's arm. This limb connects to those muscles, so if the correct pressure is applied perhaps...

Her overthinking and weak frame wasn't exactly helping her in bullying Kogo into submission.

[Matsu Nintoku]

The Matsu focused on the Usagi's posture taking mental notes of it. She clearly had the drive to become a good fighter and with some technique she would be a formidable fighter.

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo responds with a bit of vigor and manages to swing into the grappling idea. Its not too bad. She manages to take control of the grapple but its not terribly strong.
